I have used an 8x8 mini album as I like the slightly larger size.

Gail, do you know how large your file is? Also, what error message(s) are you getting? There are lots of people who use Macs on here.

Has your son posted any pics from your computers before? If not, it could also be your firewall settings that's giving you a problem.

If all else fails, you can post it to an online web album like Flickr and post the link. I know this sounds a bit daunting, but once you 'get it', you'll find it's quite easy.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.

I was just blog hopping and came across this little gem by UKS owner, Mary Anne. Aside from being beautiful, it's a great example of:

    • how to use more photos per entry
    • how to make your pages more interesting
    • how to create your book ahead of time, then add the photos later

    It's gorgeous! Have a look..

it just keeps inserting the files in the above format (which does nothing when you click on it!) and when I try to upload into the gallery, it just says that the file exceeds the limit!

Some other users told me to save the photo's to my desktop and import them from there ... but this won't work either. I think I will have to do some research or phone apple, but I don't have time at the mo ... will have to do it over the weekend! Typical!

Anyway, hope everyone else is doing ok? G x

Oh, dear. I don't use Macs so can't give you detailed help, but the first clue is that the file exceeds the limit. How big is your file? (The P2060083.JPG file)
The limit is 250Kb, which isn't very big. Do you have any kind of photo editing software that you can use to reduce the size? If you do, try to make it about 600x600 pixels, and 72 dots per inch (dpi). Disappointing, I know, but that's what we have to live with on UKS.

    Don't give up, Gail!

Is there a reason you aren't using iPhoto for this?

    what I do is

    • load the photos from my camera into iPhoto
    • highlight the photos I will be working with
    • click email at the bottom
    • select small medium or large for the size (usually medium is perfect for adding to a post)
    • I then right-click on the image in the mail and save the attachment as a .jpg to my desktop to add as an attachment here and close the email without sending it

I can't guarantee that is the easiest way to do it, but it takes me only a minute or two and once I started doing it that way I never really looked for a faster or easier way But it does work.

My book has come to a grinding halt - my PC had died so I can't print off my phos. Might just do each page minus the pics till I can catch up again.

    here's hoping ...

    YAY! ... thanks Maryanne. G x

Front cover is a scraplift from a class run by craftystash (my best friend went to the crop and I scraplifted her layout). When I find something that matches I will add '2010' but nothing I had in my stash fitted so I'll have to wait until something comes to mind ... unless anyone has any ideas for me?
