Altered Tesco advent house...share yours here.

Boo hoo - it would appear that Yorkshire is being omitted from the fun of altering advent calendars, there are none in Rotherham, Sheffield or Barnsley with the excuse that they haven't got them in stock yet - not being funny but we're on the 20th NOvember which is indicative that the north of England is being left out of the fun of this - has anyone in this locality found one?

The only place I found them was Bradford Extra, Great Horton Road think it was HTH

I went on the off chance not expecting to find any, its not a massive store, but there were about 5 left. Looks like I'm in on the excitment now too!!

No luck locating one in the Bristol/Somerset area

I am in Somerset and had no luck anywhere. My friend works for Tesco and couldn't find a store for me Whoopidoo has very kindly picked me one up and is posting to me (but she's had her fair share of stress to get it though )

My mother works for the Tesco extra store in Newcastle upon tyne. She called me this afternoon to say 'you are not going to believe this but there are a whole load of advent houses in the stock room, they have not put them out'!!!!

So, I suggest if you live near this store to contact them asap to check what they have left. I would also get your own local stores to double check their stock rooms as it seems the staff know very little about the whereabouts of the calenders. SHAME ON THEM!!

I took mine into school yesterday and smiled nicely at the DT teacher and he has sanded off the nasty colours for me so I'm all ready to have a go at altering over the weekend.

I am off to Tescos in Bicester tomorrow then stopping at the one in Aylesbury just round the corner from home so hopefully I'll find one as they look so great. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

If your brothers are in Newcastle get them to call the kingston park store to put one away. They will keep it for one day max.

Heres mine! Now mine and Ladybugs will look very similar as we spent all afternoon together making them! We both painted all our boxes the other day and then we papered and embellished them today. I used Making Memories Falala papers on mine. (look for the reindeers on the roof, they dont show up very well in the pic!)
I must say I am really impressed with how they have turned out.
