    Question Proffessional scrapper!

    Hello,
I am looking to find a someone (pref in London) who could proffessionally assemble newspaper/magazine articles into a pigskin leather book, that is already bound, that will last and look proffessional - can anyone help or have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Annalise

The best thing I can suggest is that you browse people's galleries, and see what style you prefer ??

Most scrappers, scrap with photographs, and only occasionally scrap journalling only.

You initially need to decide the sort of layout you want ie., similar to a newspaper or magazine, will there be additional journalling to accompany the articles .... do you want the cuttings scanned onto acid & lignin free paper/card, or do you want the original cuttings scrapped.

Do you want added detail such as patterned papers, embellishments etc.... or is it just you want them mounting into the folder ? If the latter is the case, then a professional book company/manufacturer/publisher would probably be the better option rather than a scrapper.

I hope all these points help.

    Question further questions....

Hello and thank you for the tips - the problem that i am having is that I need to mount the newspaper articles onto pages that are already bound into the book - so the work will need to be done whilst the book is in one piece. maybe i will speak to some publishers? Do you think that would be best?

Thank you for your help with this.

Perhaps you could mount the newspaper articles onto plain white paper - or even better - scan the newspaper articles and get them printed onto acid-free paper. Then it would be an easy enough question to stick them into the book, using acid free glue. I think I have heard of a "cuttings" service - don't know how they do it?
