Home page - minibooks - did i hear right - woo hoo!

Do you know there is nothing nicer on a Monday morning than to find a link to my blog on the main page of UK Scrappers and then to have loads of links to other blogs to see what other people have been up to. Add to that a new Scrap Like you Mean it Challenge and life is good - but today I was so giddy sssssssssooooooooooo gidddddddddddyyyyyyyyyyy - there's a two week mini book special happening on UK Scrappers! There was something similar last school holidays and Mondays was mini book day - I would race downstairs print the instructions and play! The great thing with mini books is that they evolve over time - I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait - and the first temptation as to what to expect is on the front page - a squash book - now I know what you'll be saying - I know how to do them - but have you ever done a circular one! It looks so different - absolutely awesome - now where's that paper and more to the point when does this start! Hope everyone's having a fabulous Monday morning as well!

Ummmmm, do we take it that you are a little excited about this event

Joking aside, I know what you mean and am really looking forward to this.

LOL! I was sure no one would notice so I posted in Cal's thread about this - I hope it lives up to your expectations! I have already received enough project pdfs to ensure a week and a bit so I think it will eventually wind up a full 2 weeks of minibooks (weekdays, anyway) and that you will all find some interesting ones, maybe a bit out of the ordinary.

Oh and PS the papers are from an old kit, pretty sure it's Love, Elsie Candy Stripe and Zoe (anyone still have it?)

I saw the home page too this morning and I'm really excited too! I LOVE minibooks and am looking forward to seeing some new ideas (hopefully) and having a play. Not sure how much I'll get done during the 2 weeks but then I've got a lifetime to catch up!!!!!

    Can't wait

Oh wow - I totally missed this on the front page - and I also love mini-books! What a great way to experiment and use up some stash - I'm thinking even my collection of 'ugly' papers* can be used for the construction of the bases before decorating!

*Ugly papers - the ones I bought at Ally Pally a few years back cos they were something like "20 for 1" so I bought 3 quidsworth - and looking back some of them are extremely dubious!

You thought no-one would notice?!!! RAOFL Joking aside, the fact that the weekly and monthly challenges are back on the front page has got me back into my old habit of scrolling down on Mondays to check what's going on so it was a lovely surprise to see the Mini book plans there too

Oh happy days, a recent stash sort out has revealed at least some of these papers patiently waiting to be re-discovered

I've only recently started to enter UKS via the home page and was also very excited to see the announcement for the mini book special - I can't wait to see what will be posted and, dare I say it, it's just in time for that time of year when I start thinking about making Christmas presents

No, not in the forums, although we will likely add a subforum for the event, like we do for Cyber crops for people to chat and share tips and variations and have a gallery as well.
