A New Inkscape Pictorial

Lucille could you please tell me how to add 5.1 to the printer list, I have both versions on my computer and the version in the inkscape printer box is 4.4 which might be my problem just can't get it to recognise 5.1. Added screenshot incase you dont understand what i mean. Thanks

I'm doing the best I can here, the Internet is running like a dog again it's taken me ages to get on UKS, fingers crossed I can post this.

I don't know why, but maybe the type of CR you have does come into all of this I'm using the CR CC100, we will be able to tell if people who try this would be kind enough to post a line to say if it has or hasn't worked for them and what their set up is as well, pretty please

Helen - I would say you need to install the CR Controller for 5.1 you can get that from the French site, I can't post a link because I would have to find the one I posted a couple of days ago in a thread and if I do that I can't guarantee getting back to this point again for hours

so if you have problems I'm sure one of the others will be able to help you, sorry

Lucille i have already got 5.1 installed i just can't get it to show up in the printer box, but if i'm cutting from RM it is using5.1. Thanks anyway will try and mess around.

Well, I'm even more confused now. When I open the controller for both version 4.4 and 5.1 its says Controller version 5. So I don't think that's the problem as it seems to be using the same controller, but I could be wrong, lol.

OK........here is what works and doesn't work for me and what I'm running:-
Win XP
CR330
I can get it to cut from 46 (build 1st April 08)
I cannot get it to cut from Delvel 46 (build 19th Jan 09 )
I cannot get it to cut from Devel 46 (build 19th June 09 )
I hope this information helps

I have downloaded the latest Inkscape also from the French site - the controller/driver etc. As you will see from the attachment my 'pen' is now grey - it used to be blue

and it still shows as Version 5!!!

OK I would say so far the model of the machine doesn't come into it, that leaves Windows, the version of RM or Inkscape (I seem to be the only one that has cut from both versions) and of course the good old PICNIC problem

I have lost my long list of choices of media -I had about 15 now there are only a few. What is contruction paper

Hi Sue, contruction paper is colored paper that you use to make your christmas decorations with at school. I have tons of it and can't get robbie to cut it at all it has loads of fibres in it that get caught in the blade housing.
