    Scrap Your Day by Shimelle

This thread has been automatically created, because the original thread had over 250 posts.

The original thread was located HERE.

    The first post was....

This fabulous project by Shimelle is being launched as part of our precybercrop classes (April 08 cybercrop), but its not just for cybercroppers, its for everyone

Ever wished the cybercrop lasted all year? Now it can. The Oscars cybercrop brings you a project that starts this April and keeps right on going, but don't worry...it won't be too much work! For the next twelve months, the 25th will be an official 'Scrap Your Day' day here at UKS. On the 25th of the month, we'll all pick up our cameras and snap the things we see, and this book gives us a place to put those photos and write down the details.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 15th) at 7am, you'll be able to buy this Scrap Your Day kit from shimelle.com. The kit includes one 7x15 spiral bound calendar album by Making Memories and thirteen sheets of 6x12 patterned paper by American Crafts, Sassafras Lass and Crate Paper (designs as shown below).

When you purchase the kit, you'll also receive a PDF file illustrating the quick construction of this album -- it makes the 6x12 papers make sense and it will mean that keeping your book going is just a matter of adding photos and a few notes each month rather than reinventing the wheel.

The kit costs £10 plus £2 postage and packing and will be sent to you via First Class post.

To this basic kit, you'll add a few elements from your own stash to customise the look. You'll need a set of letter stamps and a black ink pad (or any other lettering option you love), scraps of cardstock and a few of your favourite embellishments like flowers or ribbons.

If you want to take part but use all of your own stash, just sit tight, and you can still join us. The Scrap Your Day project will have monthly prompts, tips and illustrations that are free for all members of UKS, including suggestions for making your own book that would be suitable for the project.

So, check out Shimelle.com tomorrow if you'd like to buy your kit, then check back here on the 21st for more details

I was lucky today in that the Council's tree surgeons started pollarding the trees on our road and that the local shopping centre played host to a European market ... otherwise it would have been a very dull day, photo opportunities wise.

Well, managed to get a few expressions yesterday, but not many. Never mind. The dogs had some funny expressions when I was asking them to do things, but got some really good shots when they were rumbling each other. I got a lot of dog backside shots too Daphne!

Hubby was very accommodating, although most of his expressions were posed and very fake!

I think I took about 150 photos. Not bad for a day that was extremely unexciting!

Well, I took one photo of my clock when I woke up and then forgot all about it! I'm going to do mine on the 28th as it's just too awkward to do photo's at work, especially when as I work on a hospital ward - the patients wouldn't appreciate a camera poking around methinks lol! I haven't even looked at the prompt yet, I'll do look later when I get back from work

oh totally forgot this month! well the weekend is a better time for me to take pictures anyway. I can't take a camera to work. Doesn't sounds like the prompt will feature much for me this month if its about expressions, I stay by myself! I just take pics of my day anyway better make sure the batteries are charged for Saturday and hope that the sun comes out finally!

I didn't get a prompt this month and wondered if it had finished after the CC. I know it's not quite a year though.
