You're not at all. I've been very itinerent over the years but I've settled on 7 LOs of places I've been, 4 LOs of places I've lived abroad and 1 DLO featuring a snapshot of places I've been to which hold a significant meaning for me. I'm scrapping in 7x7 and like Selena (Bush Girl) I have a minimalistic style.

Downloaded the prompt earlier and hadn't realised the prompt hadn't come through!!

Having a blast here. I've decided to scan in all my old holiday negs (there's loads!!) but am so glad I've decided to do this (one job that's been on my to-do list for ages!). It's really lovely going back through all the old photos and it's triggering a lot of happy memories.

This section may take a while ... but it's so worth it

Oooh, what are you using to do this? I don't have a scanner but I DO have a shed load of photos & negatives. I'm sure DH would let me buy something but I don't know what's needed.

I use a CanoScan 9950F (which has a whole host of film neg guides to make it easier to scan in negs). This was a Xmas pressie from DH a few years back and I love it! I'm sure there is a later version. It was expensive, but this was a cheap option as I needed to scan in a load of slides my parents had plus some old family negs. It costs a fortune if you get this done by someone else - and by experience, the quality isn't necessarily that good.

For 35mm film, you can scan in up to 5 neg strips with up to 6 exposures at a time. The software splits the exposures up so you just need to tweek away! There are guides provided for quite a wide range of film formats, even old types (although not sure about those disk negs from the 1980's!). We had some negs that Grandad took in the 1930's and these scanned perfectly.

Just need to figure out a way to scan in those APS film cartridges

Thanks for this Karen. By expensive, do you mean like £150 ish? I'm seeing something called CanScan 8800 at about this price.

On a completely different subject, and back on topic.....is anyone actually doing a time line? I have to admit to having done something entirely different before Shimelle even mentioned the time line idea. Only I keep thinking of new places I've been so I can't finish it and save down for web posting - I think I'm up to 70 odd destinations, although the majority of these are in the UK and I will absolutely NOT be making a page about them!

I started a timeline but it got so big I gave up! I've pinched Shimelle's idea and am going to do a LO about trips I've been on with DH. It's looking like a lot of journaling and no photos, which is unheard of for me!
