Hi,
If you search the web you'll find lots of designs for full wedding stationery sets mine are in the loft or I'd post a pic!
The only advice I'd give is:
1. Quality wins out (no super-metallic gold card/foil or trashy lam`e bows, nice decent weight card, possibly some vellum)
2. Consider postage, and maybe make them all flat instead of folding?
3. Personalise them somehow - maybe initials, or a shared interest?
4. Make a sample of each item BEFORE cutting out all the card/mats/elements/ribbon
5. Give her a realistic idea of cost - yes it will be cheaper than buying everything, but if she wants the works (save the date, full invites, evening invites, order of service, confetti cones, placecards, menus, card box, memento box, guestbook, table planner, favours) it may only end up being 25% cheaper (especially as metallic costs more than flat colour, would be way cheaper if she was just lilac and white or red and cream!) instead of the 50%+ it could be.
Hope some of this helps, just my opinions and experience
If you want to pick brains PM me or keep posting here - I'm sure there are large amounts of people here who've also done this before and will be along very soon

My advice would be get her to write down the exact words she wants including spellings. I made a lot of wedding invitations for someone and only realised afterwards that she had spelt something wrong, because she had written it down and confirmed it after the initial sample I had given her I wasn't held responsible for the mistake. It wasn't something obvious - her RSVP address was her parents house and it was only when I was driving through their village one day that I noticed on a road sign that all the invites had the village name spelt incorrectly. Not the end of the world and she didn't mind but equally it would have been a nightmare for me if she had expected me to change all the inserts at my own expense.

Oh and you might want to keep them simple , making a couple of identical cards is one thing but when you are making lots and lots if you have any sort of intricate or complicated techniques involved it can quickly become very boring and also very frustrating. Also make sure at the start that you have bought enough card/ embellishments for the whole project (plus a few spares) because craft lines change so quickly you don't want to be hunting down elusive patterned papers halfway through.
