Thats weird, I'm sure mine was zipped. That's probably why it took a while to download. I downloaded it on 5th Dec if you still want it maybe you could download one that's a bit earlier than 15th Dec.

I double clicked on the one I quoted and it is downloading right this minute, it is definitely a zipped file. I haven't updated mine for a while so once the download is finished I'll unzip it and put it in my folder.

Try downloading again by double clicking on the blue numbers then tell me if you got it OK.

Help me Doreen please I have downloaded what Lucille said and its asking to open but I cant open and its taking me to winzip But i have a unzipping program already on my pc and it doesnt look like a normal zip file

I use Izarc and that unzips them

The most recent .47 file is zipped.

As said before, you need to set up a new folder and extract the .47 contents from the zip file to the new folder.

Then just double click the Inkscape.exe file to run Inkscape.

My first attempt at running Inkscape didn't work, so I closed everything, restarted my laptop and it worked.

I did uninstall my previous version before installing the new one, not sure if that makes a difference.

Not if you already have a program that unzips files. Once the download is finished just double click on it and your unzip program will open, even this takes a bit longer than usual because it is a big file once you can see the Inscape folder just click on Extract.
