    It also gets damned expensive.

This is going to be hugely popular! And for those of you with DM, it will work exactly the same. Just export as .eps with a bounding box and import using the pdf filter.

The only thing is that it's not a stable release yet, so you might want to wait until 0.47 is official. Since I don't use Inkscape for anything else, it didn't concern me to go ahead and test it out.
Thanks for that info, it looks promising - I will try importing into DM when I get a bit of time.

I have been looking at getting hold of this feature and believe me it is not as straight forward as downloading a beta copy, my advice would be wait and keep watching the video.

lucille, yes the more i read the more i got confused its not like they use to do it.

you could just download as you say a development zip copy this seems to be a different format.

Sandy thanks, i will watch with interest.

think i need to sit and think about all this different software i am using for various cutters at the moment, my first love is still inkscape so may just go back to it permanently.

This is a fantastic upgrade and can't wait for it to become available. Using the new spiro feature will make things so much easier and simple to do.

    Thanks Lucille for finding this

I have done this really quickly for people who can't wait and want to try this out.

I have added a mini tut for downloading and installing with links to my first post.

Have you watched the video tutorial for using this function? There is a link in my first post.

Thanks for testing the instructions it's good to know they work as I put them together really quickly.
