I've found that Tim Holtz distress ink in Black soot works particularly well, when colouring in with Copics, it doesn't bleed at all.

Oooh, sounds good Samm. How do you find Versafine with them?

All I need to do is find the cash to buy the copics now!

I'm considering investing in some of these.
Do you think it is better to pick your colours individually or just to go for a boxed set? I wasn't sure what the selection of colours would be like in the sets.
    Thanks

I bought mine individually, first of all I went for 2 of each of the colour sets, like 2 blue, 2 blue/violet, 2 green, 2 yellow green, etc, then after I had coloured with them I marked down all the other colours that I "needed" to go with them. I know have 90 of them mainly 7 from each colour group.

I love my versafine but it does tend to bleed a bit, you have to leave it drying for a long time before you can colour with it, the same with Stazon.

The Brilliance pigment ink is great with Copics but make sure it is dry or blast it with your heat gun, it is fast drying but just to be sure!!

Can anyone recommend a place to buy copics from? I have looked in hobby craft and some craft shops but couldn't find any.

I use Tsukineko's Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad with my Copic's, it works great and the fabulous thing about it is, it doesn't need to be heat set.
So you can start to colour straight away, no bleeding or feather with it either.

Does anyone know how copics differ from promarkers? I'm going on a long plane journey and want to be able to colour some stamped images to keep me busy for those rare moments when both children are asleep but I wasn't sure which to go for.
