Smooth cardstock - the smoother the better - and don't give up - practice makes perfect - they are not as easy as watercolours - but the colours are amazing!

Need a bit of advice please I got my Prismas a few weeks ago and did quite well with them, I use Versafine ink and everything was fine. But then I needed more card and got ******** Up Whispers White as quite a few people recommended this. I stamped more Magnolia images about a week ago and only last night got round to colouring them in - so the ink should certainly have been dry. But when I started to colour with the Prismas - before I even started to blend with Sansador - certain parts of the stamped images started to smudge very slightly. As this didn't happen before, I can only think it's the smoothness of the card combined with the Versafine ink. I think I've read that some people use Stazon ink - would this be the answer? I don't mind buying some but don't want to waste money if this wouldn't help. Would very much appreciate advice - thanks a lot!!

I use stayzon for my images as I found that my versafine smudged too. I'm in Oldbury, if your anywhere near I could either send you some or we could meet and give you some stamped with stayzon for you to try before you buy.

Gosh - that was quick!! Thanks so much Tracie that'd be really helpful. Either would be great, but if you could send me a couple of images it'd probably be better as I'm on public transport and although I'm not far away I don't know Oldbury that well - except for the Savacentre - I can find my way there!! I'll be in touch - and thanks again for your kind offer.

    Hi,

I've used Faber Castell PolyChromos and got pretty good results.... I also heard the Derwent Coloursoft do the same job. HTH

I got my Primas last week and just before I got them I found 72 Rexel Cumberland Derwent Studio pencils, hardly used that I got for doing my Art A Level (about 400 years ago)........................I have just done a Derwent vs Prisma test and I can't tell the difference!!! They seem to do the same job - yay!!!
