    Scrap Your Day by Shimelle

The original thread was located HERE.

This fabulous project by Shimelle is being launched as part of our precybercrop classes (April 08 cybercrop), but its not just for cybercroppers, its for everyone

Ever wished the cybercrop lasted all year? Now it can. The Oscars cybercrop brings you a project that starts this April and keeps right on going, but don't worry...it won't be too much work! For the next twelve months, the 25th will be an official 'Scrap Your Day' day here at UKS. On the 25th of the month, we'll all pick up our cameras and snap the things we see, and this book gives us a place to put those photos and write down the details.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 15th) at 7am, you'll be able to buy this Scrap Your Day kit from shimelle.com. The kit includes one 7x15 spiral bound calendar album by Making Memories and thirteen sheets of 6x12 patterned paper by American Crafts, Sassafras Lass and Crate Paper (designs as shown below).

When you purchase the kit, you'll also receive a PDF file illustrating the quick construction of this album -- it makes the 6x12 papers make sense and it will mean that keeping your book going is just a matter of adding photos and a few notes each month rather than reinventing the wheel.

The kit costs £10 plus £2 postage and packing and will be sent to you via First Class post.

To this basic kit, you'll add a few elements from your own stash to customise the look. You'll need a set of letter stamps and a black ink pad (or any other lettering option you love), scraps of cardstock and a few of your favourite embellishments like flowers or ribbons.

If you want to take part but use all of your own stash, just sit tight, and you can still join us. The Scrap Your Day project will have monthly prompts, tips and illustrations that are free for all members of UKS, including suggestions for making your own book that would be suitable for the project.

So, check out Shimelle.com tomorrow if you'd like to buy your kit, then check back here on the 21st for more details

We must be a chatty lot - rolled again.

Have taken some photo of some mundane things this afternoon - still have to do the ones of the books I am reading at the mo. After falling off a rope swing over the stream this afternoon I made DS1 throw away his vert tatty trainers that he was very attatched too - I have never photographed so many odd things!

I forgot to take a picture of my lunch - the food picture this month is going to have to be tonights spag bog!

Well this is interesting - I decided to take a picture of the computer screen as I had just posted - so I took the picture and the camera buzzed and asked me if I "really wanted to keep this picture - delete?" Now I have never had that message before and all I can say is Everyone is a critic!!!

I forgot my lunch as well - I'd made some lovely bread and soup and was in such a hurry to get it down my neck, it just slipped my mind.

Remembered to take my dinner today, and my rhubarb before and after making the crumble, also taken some of my in-laws who came today. Was trying to take some birds in the garden, but they all seem to be camera shy.

taking DD to and fro work.
Taking DS to and fro various places.
    walking dog.
(working if it's in the week maybe)
    cooking.

Bookworm, I love the fact that you've captured your OH after his trip away

Cantstopstamping - I think you've highlighted a fear that we maybe all have, in that our lives are going to be shown as being the same month in month out.... however, life is about the gravy we make, not the meat and veg there will be some odd occaision that we'll all look back on and cherish no matter how ordinary our lives are.

'people may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel'
