My copic markers arrived today and have been trying them out, couple of questions, which ink do you use to stamp images as the Staz On seems to smudge, and which is the best cardstock to use, I have tried a couple of different ones I have here, one is totally naff, the other okay, but I am thinking there is probably something even better out there.
    Any help please....

Hi Linda, pigment ink is best for Copics as if you notice their multiliners (fine pens in black and brown for drawing) say on them water and copic proof so I use Brilliance pigment ink and it never smudges. Staz on can smudge as it is alcohol based but some people use it ok. As for card the Concord record cards take copics great.

Thanks for that I did buy a brilliance inkpad the other day, but it still seemed to smudge with my prismas and sansador, maybe i didn't leave it to dry long enough. I am wondering if I popped to Staples or somewhere like that their index cards would be the same as the concord ones. Also just one more question, which colours of the copics do you use the most, I have bought 22 but am looking to buy some more....
    Thanks again.

Well I bought about 30 to begin with and then found I wanted the shades either side of them so ended up with 70!! I just chose a range from blues, greens, reds, browns, yellow/orange etc. Skin white and pinkish white are best for flesh tones and the colourless blender is a must to dilute or remove colour.

I have bought 2 of each colour which are very similar in colour for the blending, so I guess if I just go either side of the colours I have I should be okay. Thanks for your help.

We have promarkers in singles and in packs here - they are much cheaper and would give you an idea of whether or not you like the style.

That is a good price for the promarkers - I know where I'll be getting my next set from! Unfortunatly that needs to wait on two things - one being the money to spare on that, and the other being me having found a box to carry the ones I have, let alone buying more! I've bought a few of the sets (only about 3 overlapping colours from them), and I actually love them. I use a letraset black pen, and then I H2O with them as well - it seems to work as a technique...
