    Copic Markers

Has anyone tried Copic Markers, I've seen them used a lot on USA blogs and was wondering how the compared to prismas.

Totally different but fab all the same!! They colour really beautifully and you can shade with them but you do need a lot of the colour range and they are expensive but they are my favourite!

Ahhhh thanks Caz I love mine, I've only had them recently but they're up there with my Cricut and my GHDs You can get alot of changes in colour with just a few colours though (although I bought 70 at the time) as you can layer the colour up, so you get shadows and deeper colour. I got mine from 'that auction site' from the US as they were half the price, I also use the original markers.

Are there any other "cheaper" markers that would give me a feel of what the copics are like?

I tried the Letraset Promarkers Kevin which are also alcohol based. I just bought the skin tones set and do like the colours but the tips aren't as nice as the copics, they are much cheaper though.

Are they available in singles? My local art/dept store sells lots of watercolours etc in single so just wondering if they'd have any suitable pens in single too so I can try them out.

Ciao for me, it is just as good and half the price, they say you can't refill them but you can and you can use them with the airbrush system with the aid of a couple of 3d foam squares!
