Hi Kevin, if you look at my bathtime Dottie card in the post above yours I was able to resize and then print Dottie on to my patterned paper to give me a different background, which I believe if I had not got the transparent set I would not have been able to acheive (I may be wrong though but that was my understanding which is why I went for them also so that I could colour and fill with texture too) HTH

But that's what I mean... It would have printed the same if you had the white image. The printer doesn't contain white ink so it would not have printed anything but the outline - the same as the transparent set. And you can add effects to the white ones too.

    Maybe I'm missing something

Just wondered, thats all... Perhaps it's "cleaner" with the transparent background but I can't see how :S

I totally agree Kevin, that's what I thought at first too. But like Caroline said, the idea about patterned paper is for when you add a patterned bckground layer on the computer before you print. Does that make more sense? If you layered the jpeg image onto a patterned background on the computer you'd have a white square blocking it. Of course if your quite good on painting programmes you can still get around that even if you purchase the jpeg image.

Ohhhh, I see now! What I was thinking is that it would be easy to just delete the white or fill it with the pattern. I guess sometimes I forget that not everyone is as au fait with the graphics programs as us techies are!!!

Fab! I'll look forward to seeing them. I've been working all weekend on the Dottie at work collection, I'm just adding the finishing touches so watch this space. I'm quite excited about it, we have teacher and Lollipop Lady Dottie for those end of term thank yous there are eight other occupations too, including a vet and a nurse.

Jac I love your card. I love how you printed Dottie onto patterned paper. I might have to borrow your idea!

Jac I'm so sorry, I don't know how I missed this. What a brilliant idea to use her in the backing paper!

Well, Dottie at work is now finished and sent off so we just need to wait for Karen to put them on site.
