I'm surprised no one has mentioned these U.S. card magazines:

    Take Ten
    Just Cards

They're the absolute best, IMHO! I've ordered Take Ten from various sponsors but not sure who carries "Just Cards". Both are quarterly publications and indispensible for the serious cardmaker.

You might try asking in the Shop Til You Drop section. I've bought them from a couple different places as it seems when one has them, another doesn't, then a month later it's all turned over. Any place that does a lot of altered art or artsy stamps usually carries them. If you're going to Ally Pally, look there. Perservere.... it's worth it!

As being new to card making and scrapbooking, I'm going through the phrase of looking at most the magazines on sale and too be honest I agree with some of the comments on here, they are often quite similar in content, its either that or you need to spend about £35 to buy all the bits to make one card. As much as I love buying stash I need to draw the line somewhere LOL!

I like looking around online at the galleries to get ideas, then adapt them to make them and also my local market has an out of date (well not all of the mags are) magazine stall that stocks USA craft mags for 75p each or 3 for £2 so I tend to go there now.

I must try to go on a stash and magazine diet

    Hello!

I have just this minute, subscribed to Papercrafts Magazine - for something a bit different - also quite like Beautiful Cards, but this can be hit or miss - you need to look through it or it can be very similar to previous issues. There are plenty of ideas on this site (thanks to wonderful, talented crafters!!) and you can take inspiration from there!

    Best of luck! Sarah
