Giving a selection of cards as a gift
Which cards would you give? I am thinking about giving DD1 and 2's teachers lunchtins with a selection of cards in at the end of term.
Which cards do you think I should definitely include?

Hello!!
Happy birthday - general ones & maybe some for women and of course thank you cards.

Shy and elusive - but friendly when you get to know her (and she shares stash!)
at least one sympathy card - when you need one, you need it NOW ...
I would include several cards that would be suitable to give to men & to be honest I would be tempted to go with mostly "open" cards that could be used for any occasion.
If you want to include greetings, I would go for:
"Congratulations" (could be used for passing an exam, wedding, anniversary, engagement, new job, driving test etc etc)
"Happy Birthday"
"Thank You"
"Best Wishes" (again could be used for any number of things from birthdays to anniversaries to a get well soon type card!)
"Thinking of you" (could be used for sympathy, get well, birthday or even a "just a note" type card!)
If you know the teachers have children, maybe a couple of more "childreny" cards that they could use for a last minute card for a child's friend ...
I'm Woozle and I'm a Cybercrop addict!

DD1's teacher is older so I will need to go for more classic designs
DD2's teachers are much younger so I can go for fun cards there.

How about a group of blank cards and a bunch of greetings that they can add themselves?
If you made the greetings all the same shape and size and it was clear where they would fit on the card it would give the recipient lots of options. A strip of double sided tape on the back and they would be easy to use...
Just a thought

I would go for blank general or ones with best wishes which could be used for different things.

As a teacher myself, I suggest a thank you card - someone is always doing something sweet - either another teacher shares a really cool lesson plan, a parent sends in art supplies, etc. - so having a thank you card or two ready to send out is very handy.

What a brilliant idea - I would love to receive something like this! Useful, thoughtful and individual - perfect combination!

I like chocolate, I like shopping, but best of all, I like cropping!
it depends on how many cards you want to include!
I would go for a Thank you, a sympathy, a happy birthday for a woman and one for a man, a Just a note one (covers a multitude of sins!) and a general Congratulations one!
what a lovely idea for a present!

A friend and I are making up a box of 30 handmade cards as a raffle prize (we usually do a stall and donate the profits but there is no garden party this year) and she's got the easy bit, 15 birthday and blank cards, and I get to do 15 'other' cards.
So far I have Sympathy; Get Well ; 2 x Thank You; New baby; Wedding; Anniversary; Thinking of You; Confirmation; 1st Communion (you guessed - it's a church raffle!); Congratulations; Good Luck. That's twelve - any other suggestions? I might do a couple with quotes on - perhaps a non-specific religious one IYKWIM. If I'm stuck I'll fill up on Thank Yous, I think they're probably the most useful.

I did some of these packs and they are great, I played it safe and stuck to male and female birthdays as you always know people need those. But otherwise, I'd go for the ones you might need at a surprise moment - like thank you, congratulations, sorry it's late - having a stash of ones like that to use instantly is good.
Here are the packs I made some time ago, I tied them up with some simple raffia and a tag and they looked quite cute.
