Big Shot definitely for me, even though we sell both The new colours are lush - and I am told that the new Sizzix dies coming out about May time will not fit through the Cuttlebug.

Cuttlebug! I have cut chipboard with it. It is gorgeously designed, easily to store and transport. The dies are fresh and look nice. The dies cut effortlessly and I find they give a cleaner crisper cut then the sizzix ones I have used in it. It is a dream to use, the embossing is downright simple and effective - can even emboss old brass plates. It is smaller and lighter and colourful and neat and oh I love it so much!

Definitely I think they go better through the Big Shot than the Cuttlebug You can use Cuttlekids dies in both machines too.

I've been playing with the new dies for the big shot, and they don't fit in the cuttlebug, so definitely Bigshot!

There are new long dies coming out for the Big Shot - about 15" long if I remember correctly. My understanding is that these are a little bit wider than the existing Bigz dies and that means they won't go through the Cuttlebug.

I have both machines in the shop and can get my existing Bigz dies through the Cuttlebug. However, they are very snug and 'scrape' down the inside of the Cuttlebug. On the Big Shot, there is probably about 1/4" or so space between the die and the inside of the Big Shot when it goes through. I hope that makes sense ?!?

The new Big Shot is actually cheaper than the Cuttlebug - it doesn't come with any dies so you can have the flexibility to choose your own It does come with the multi-purpose platform and the cutting plates.

I don't know about the dies, but have you seen the new bags? There are new storage bags for the Sidekick and Big Shot - I am having one of each for handbags
