    Card organiser gift??

Hoping you cardmakers can help. I want to make my mother an organiser for keeping greeting cards to send to her friends. I've seen some 'commercial' ones in the shops, but none that I liked much. She's just moved to a retirement home and can't get out to shop for cards (birthday, hello, thinking of you, sympathy, etc.) to send her friends as she's had to give up her car. So I thought I'd make up some cards and put them in some kind of organiser (envelope? accordion? or ??) for her, then she could just mail them as the occasions arise.

Does anyone have any examples? Any instructions? Any ideas?

what about some kind of paperbag book, i dont know how big they are available in though.

but if you could get something big enough you could put the cards inside the pockets instead of tags.

or what about a big shoe box, decorated and then tab dividers made from card for the various sections.

sorry cannot think of anything else at the moment.

ok just had another idea, what about pockets made from 2 pieces of A4 card and bound with a bia, make as many as you need first and then bind.

i got a sturdy box form home bargains for £1.59 that has an elastic loop fastening for the top. it also includes the organisers that you're talking about and came with 25 cat note cards and 25 envelopes. it is ready for you to decorate the outside if you wish and then fill up with cards.
i got it cos i thought it would be a safe way to store my cards once i had made them

    thanks, donna

Thanks for the tips.... I found something in the gallery that I think will be awesome! It's here by ThePinkPrincess.... I can buy a pack of white envelopes at Staples and should be able to do the rest of it with what I've got!

Thanks so much for ALL the wonderful tips and ideas. You've been an inspiration!
