I am back from that large craft chain, and got Sansador for £3.25 and large stumps were £1.55 each....which is very close to the online price...but no P&P.

Off to play and see how I do...I am going to post a comparison later.

There's a big difference between watercolour pencils and colouring pencils such as prismas, the colouring pencils are more vibrant. There isn't much difference between prismas and other high pigment colouring pencils though, polychromos are equally good as are other brands available. Look at the size of the pencil core - bigger means less 'scratchy'

I have a derwent pastels, and the soft drawing set too (some great fleshy earthy tones in that set), together with a cheapo set of pencils from Llidl of all places, and combined I get a good result, although I am after a large set of derwent artist or coloursoft pencils , just for the range of colours....... I use sansodor with all of the above.

Here's some Magnolia's I coloured in while we were on holiday.

I know these little spring cards are really simple but I love them and it saves me having the problem of matching papers up, I'm so rubbish at it.

    Hope you like!

Anyone know who had buckle cards on their blog??? I can't recall if it was with Magnolia stamps or SN stamps.

I had the blog in my faves - but I'm on a different PC.

Need some advice. What do you ladies use in the way of paper and ink for stamping and then colouring. My reason for asking is that I have been using plain white card, a few different sorts including SU card, together with a black stazon ink pad. I have been leaving the images for about 5-10 minutes to dry, but when I colouring the images in (particularly the face) the ink smudges.....What do you use, or what am I doing wrong.

I just use Stazon ink on watercolour paper and then colour them in with watercolour pencils

Caroline - I found that when using sansador I had the same problem with Stazon & versafine. I have ended up using an Ink it up balck dye ink pad that I bought nearly 5 years ago when I first started cardmaking!!
