Oh no - no wonder i cant access it - all those beautiful cards I wanted to refer back to for inspiration have gone!

Can someone not just delete the chatter about non sponsors and give us back the rest of the thread so we can see the cards??

Maybe - everyone on there who had posted cards as thumbnails and NOT put them in the card gallery could help out and pop them in the gallery now???

I know this has been discussed a heap of times before - but regarding prismas and other water colour pencils - is there a HUGE difference in quality between prismas and say - Derwent or sets from other good stationery stores?? (scared to mention names! )

I currently use water colour paints - but some of the paper types don't cope with the wetting of the paper for blending!

The prismas look great - but expensive and I am wondeirng if - for now while I'm broke - I could get away with a cheaper type of water colour pencils???

I think some poeple prefer the derwent pastel pencil you can get them in the uk. I'm not sure if it was gadget that did sorry if I got that wrong. Maybe they can post a pic of the ones that they use.

I'm not sure about Prismas and those sort of things - it all seems to difficult to me.

I'm using Derwent watercolour crayons at the moment which I'm enjoying using - having a break from my H2Os which I also love but feel these sort of stamps are more subtle somehow.

Is there a video or something about showing you exactly how you use Prismas please? Ignore that doh, Mum2Jam has put something up - thanks

I really dont see any difference in effect with the water colour pencil & the prisma.
I would never pay all that for pencils, I use w h smiths or watercolour paints.
Much prefer a paint brush & an egg cup of water than the water brushes, You dont seem to have control over the amount of water coming out.

I am currently using Derwent water colour pencils, but today my 120 Primacolor Premier Pencils arrived....so now I just need to get some paper stumps and sansador.....per Isa's instructions...so a quick visit to Hobbycraft is in order today.

All my cards are on my blog, the link is below. I made a couple more last night and will post them later.

No there really isn't, prisma pencils have a high pigment concentration, but so do some other makes, which are just as good. There's been a lot of hype about the prisma brand, but any high pigment colouring pencil is just as good. hths

Is there a difference, for those that do have the prismas?
Would like to hear your views.

I got the prismas to try out and I have to say I do prefer them to the winsor and newton water colours I was using. To me they worked out cheaper. I have been buying over many years the different water colour blocks and at £2.50+ for a half pan to get the quality of depth in colour needed for the good result the pencils work out cheaper.
I bought the 132 prismas and am still learning to use them but like the results they are giving. The colours are much more vibrant. One I managed to get done.

They come all neatly boxed and are much easier to take to and from hospital at the moment.

That's absolutely gorgeous, I did wonder how the Horse could be used.
I love your shading esp on the wellies. A stunning card.
