Yeadons will order most things for you. I have been to Borders in Inverness and not seen any there either.

I like to have a look through books first before I buy. Nothing worse than paying £15 or more for a book that just gathers dust. Don't think any book shop would be impressed if I order half a dozen books just to say no don't like any of them, I think I'll get banned from them
