A quick spelling lesson...
... from your resident English teacher.
There is a very common mistake I see in LO titles and in posts ... now sit up straight and pay attention!
Your = that belonging to you
Example - I like your photos. Your scrapping is really good.
You're = the abbreviation of 'you are'
Example - You're gorgeous. Hope you're feeling better.

um i think if the scrapbooker is happy with what ever they put down then leave it alone. (not being horrid just its their own personal work so they should spell how they spell ) xxxx
ooooh i sound horrid but i'm trying to put it nice xxx
My DH & dad are the worlds worst spellers but if i put them right they don't like it . its not like i am great at spelling mind you.

it must be a bit of a teacher thing because I have an awful habit of noticing spelling mistakes! (not in my own work though-almost sent a letter out to my class asking them to bring in their willies instead of wellies!)

I think this is a very nice thing for you to do
Not everyone can spell properly or differenciate between words with the same sounds
Spelling is one thing I try and pride myself on and if I spot a mistake I do get really upset. I really do appreciate it when someone informs me of such mistakes too

Should scrap more!
So we all must put dictionaries in our scrapping space now?

On a Stash Diet !!!
Must admit I get paranoid about spelling things wrongly, so I regularly check dictionaries before commiting to words on a LO !! And I've lost count of the number of times I've gone back and edited a post almost as soon as I've submitted it 'cos that's when I notice my mistakes
I've never been a brilliant speller, but have positively cringed at mistakes my kids (now 16, 18 and 24) make on a regular basis
probably the most regular they mix up are
their, they're, there
your, you're
our, are
and I hate the way they 'borrow me' something, or ask me to 'borrow them' something

I think the best one I have seen recently is where 'Angel' was spelt 'Angle'. This wasn't on a LO, but on a public release, I think to advertise a new paper range on one of the scrapping sites.

I think everyone should do as they like but personally I can't bear things spelt wrong - things like menus on blackboards outside pubs. Or even a menu I've received this week for a meal we're going to - the spelling is atrocious.
I'm a journalist and wrong spelling stands out to me - although some of our young reporters need a few lessons in spelling and grammar!
If any of my spelling, grammar etc is wrong in this, I'll blame it on my typing!
Yeah, it's a cop out I know....
