I love the manic feeling of the weekend CC's - plus I can get away with ignoring my children for 1 weekend, any longer and I don't think my house would still be standing.

I agree the classes are great and even when the CC was over with I finished off the classes I'd not had chance to do and even used one twice

I was just thinking the same thing this afternoon

I prefer the manic ones as I get more done under pressure

With the birthday one I kept saying to myself I would do it tomorrow but never got around to any of them

I'm hoping not end of Feb or 1st week in march as I will be in Mexico

The Birthday CC was my first and the slower pace was ideal for me as I work full-time. Still found it a bit of a rush to get the daily challenges done on time to be able to claim the full number of presents...making a jelly at almost 8pm and getting it to set so that it could be photographed and the pic uploaded took some doing - thank god for freezers

the birthday one was my 1st proper cc in that i did classes the one before i bought kits but didnt do them for ages!!

i like the relaxed way but didnt get much done i sometimes find that i look at all the great work everyone else is doing and get scared or get insperation overload and panic lol
an yes i know im strange you dont need to tell me!!

I have only done the two this year (manic and relaxed) and while I enjoyed them both, I also found I did more in the manic one! In fact I think i did nearly all the classes and challenges, whereas the birthday one i only really did the classes (maybe one or two challenges!)

i also got involved with all the pre-crop bits in the birthday one, so would def do that again

so one of each would be a great compromise!!!!

The Mad Hatter one was my first, and I got really involved. As it was confined to a weekend the family were quite happy to let me hide away for the whole weekend. I did most of the pre-crop and crop challenges too and had a whale of a time.

The Birthday one was also fun, and much less frenetic, but without the pressure, and without the 'time out' of everyday life, less got done - I still have some classes, including one kit, to do. The final week was half-term, so I kind of dropped out then as we were in France from the previous weekend.

One great thing is how many people I now 'know' on here from the cybercrops - like Toni, and Cheryl, and Nat, and Trees, and Helen, and ................................

The chat is great, and lots of friendly insults get thrown around (come back Nat, all is forgiven) Some people have said they are cliquey, but I've not found that, and I didn't really know anyone on here before the Mad Hatter cc.

Sound like a great idea, but I suppose we'd have to keep slipping away to the 'real' world, sadly!

I am going to be at home with DH and DD will be in bed - we will just stay up until midnight, then DH will call his brother in OZ and go to bed So if anyone else is around and wants to chat I am guessing I will be around!

I'll be babysitting at DD's. But I'm taking my laptop in the hope it'll go straight onto her B/Band connection (she's a different ISP to one I've ever used, so remains to be seen!), but if it doesn't then I want the password to her desktop or I'm coming home straight away
