Email from Bex says with great disappointment they are cancelling the event, and will make an announcement on UKS, refund all money etc.

Why is it rude? I thought it was a nicely written notice and they haven't waited right until the last moment when some of us would have lost money on flights. Shame really. Now which retreat shall I go on instead?

I hope paypal refunds will be properly made so we don't pay fees for recieving the refund.

I've booked (and paid for) a Travel lodge for the Friday night (I was only doing sat and sun) and it is non refundable!!!!! OK, it was only £26.00, but every little helps at this time of year. Never mind. At least it was only a small amount. I feel for those that have paid for flighs etc.

I hadn't realised anyone had paid for hotels. I am sorry for the money you've spent in vain. I hadn't booked anything else until more details were forthcoming and more certain.

Hummmm the website says nothing about it being cancelled!

Aunty T - try contacting the TL and see if they will allow you to change date or change location so that you can use the night for another holiday or trip.
