Wizard hot foil machine

Have tried the household laminator with foil I kept from when I had with the Wizard hot foil pen on a print out from my laser printer but it didn't work as the heat was insufficient. It caught the foil elsewhere on the page and spoilt the image. Haven't tried the iron jobby though so must have go - do you need any special foil?

I've had this problem with the Papermania range - the foil sticks to the design but also around the outside (like here http://creativeflourishes.blogspot.c...hot-foils.html but worse). I thought it was maybe my laminator was too hot though. Has anyone else managed to solve this?

I've resurrected this thread as Idea World have just offered the Foil-It machine for sale.

Does anyone have anything else to add to the really useful posts from before please?

well these are my sentiments I've made using this technique...I think they turned out pretty well!!!

I used red, silver and gold foil and the card was a little sparkly...

hi. i purchased a hot foil machine in belfast last nov and love it. i already has a laser printer but it only prints paper. does anyone know of a laser printer that would take card 300gsm? i would love to print directly onto card but cant justify an expensive office printer which is all i seem to be able to find. thanks. marie
