ha ha Diamond Glaze Appreciation Thread

Seeing as we have so many DG fans on the board, I thought it would be useful to share hints/tips & uses of the magic stuff

my current fave, atm, is removing the c/s or vellum from metal-rimmed tags & placing the metal 'frame' over a date or particular word, in my journaling, then filling the frame with DG. Looks fab

Anita! I'm shocked I thought you would have been using DG for years
It is very easy to use, just don't shake it (you'll get air bubbles)

have you got some on order?

    Kelly,
depending on the 'thickness' or 'depth' of the sprig, try my idea using a mini frame instead, just put the frame around the sprig & fill with DG, it will be gorgeous & will protect the sprig.
does that make sense? the frame will have to be the same thickness as the sprig.

I love a little splodge on alphabet stickers to give them that 3-D feel.

Love Kate's ideas with the washers though - must try that one!

I've been a bit anal regarding DG not really knowing what it's all about. But I have just used it to coat my pressed flowers on a LO and it's given them a soft sheen. Have also made a microslide cover as a gift for my buddy Yizz and it has held all the bits and bobs on but also given the whole cover a glorious varnished look. It also protects the rubber stamped images I have put on the cover. I'm sold on it now!

I have used it on top of sea glass - it makes it look more transparent, like it's still slightly wet

Kate, I love your washer idea!
DG looks fab on all sorts of stickers, also looks good if you 'fill' a book plate. More 'antiqued'

I've used it on shrink plastic shapes. I did some hearts, applied diamond glaze (after shrinking!) straight from the bottle and then set in a flat-backed jewel. Wonderful stuff.
