I just finished my first BIA book here and am off to start the next - this is going to get my Christmas list down to manageable numbers in no time!

I wouldn't be without my BIA, love love love it!! Bought mini-book such as the Maya Road chipboard ones are more difficult to work on because the spine or binding keeps getting in the way! So much easier to work on your pages then bind them together when you're done. I have a few books I've made in my blog, but to save anyone that's interested from trawling through to find them, here's a few links.
Nursery Wrongs
In-flight Entertainment
The Palest Ink

I use any cardboard I can lay my hands on... there isn't an A4 pad in the house that has its back on it! I also buy sheets of it - most sponsors sell it - it goes under various names, hardboard, mountboard, cardboard. I am still trying to find a local picture framer that will let me buy all his offcuts of mountboard. I cut it on my guillotine and it works fine - its a Dahle 507, not sure my puny cuttlebug thingies would be man enough for the job. If you google it you will find it - it wasn't cheap (about £50.00) though but has outlasted all the others that went before it!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone! For my covers I use mountboard or chipboard (though to be honest, I prefer chipboard).

got a big bag will have to search it out now, i seem to recall though i struggled to cut it with my xcut guillotine.

Yes, sorry, I use the word guilly for them all - it is a trimmer - German, well made, never had to change the blade.... worth the money.

I've never had a Dahle, but (if I can remember that far back) they are the ones that schools and colleges buy, so that must show that they'll stand up to quite a bit of punishment!

Yep - and mine gets all sorts thrown at it - acrylic sheets, chipboard, multiple sheets of cardstock at a time....
