    OK, thank you.

I think I'll have to try this one day but will have to think about which fruit to use. I wouldn't know a sloe if I skidded on one!

red currant vodka is lovely (dont know if its nice in gin) and you can buy those (I think).
Sloes are usually in bramble hedges by the road. We were lucky as we have a big patch on our airfield.

I don't know if any of you have tried pear drop flavour vodka from the revolution bar? Its scrummy and oh loves it but they wanted £25 for a bottle!!!

So i made my own with a bag of pear drops and a bottle of vodka!!
put the 2 together in a glass bowl and stir regulaly - it ruiened my wooden spoon so use an old one!

It tasted identiclt to the one at the bar and also works great with cola cubes

if it ruined a wooden spoon.... what is it doing to your insides? Must admit it does sound nice though...

Oo! I sell pear drops and cola cubes in my shop! What with fruity spirits and sweetie spirits I'm going to have a very Happy Christmas!

Sort of off track but to do with presents - I could not be bothered ironing some ribbon I wanted to tie around a present earlier so used my hair straighteners and they worked perfectly. Not sure if I read that somewhere here or if I just thought of it. Must be the thought of all that booze affecting me.

Coca cola is supposed to be good for cleaning toilets, isn't it.

I think MM have brought out a version for doing just this and marketing it to scrappers - and peeps will buy it! Must dig out my old curling tongs...
