Inky Wench!!!
Smack blogs-appalled :(
I have just seen the nastiest most vitriolic posts about scrappers on this nasty, nasty blog and I am appalled.
I hope to goodness that none of the 'anonymous' posters who spew such bile are members of the UKS 'Community' you should be ashamed of yourselves.
I love scrapping I have made some wonderful friends and sure you can't get on with everyone but to publically berate someone that you barely know because they are successful, talented is just vile.
PLEASE do not support this sort of thing. It is supposed to be about paper and photos not this.
I'm so sad I cannot tell you

Inky Wench!!!
Oh and I don't tink that using terms like' I'm being subjective' or 'it's just an opinion' is any excuse for attacks on scrappers.

Nothing more than usual .... there are one or two OTT comments ... and although the 'word' used to describe a certain person was insensitive and cruel .... its just the same old same old.
Fortunately or unfortunately, everyone is entitled to an opinion ... and on the whole, it does what it says on the blog .... HOWEVER ...... I don't like to read the personal attacks about particular people even if the comments are true.
At the end of the day, its a public forum, and we would all hate to be flogged and humiliated so publically.
I think a little thoughtfulness is required.

Finally Happy!
Do you mean the attacks on Kirsty? yes they are nasty, there are obviously a couple of people who just don't like her.
I will admit here and now that I read the ScrapSmack blogs, UK and US and have posted on the UK one - not about any particular person, but about an issue I felt pretty strongly about, the fact that, like you Katie, I feel scrapping is about paper and photos, my point was that I wish a lot of people (not really the 'famous ones') would lose a bit of pretentiousness - but I've harped on about that before here and wont start again.
I expect the person(s) who had a go abbout Kirsty are UKS-ers, but I doubt they will admit who they are.
Personally I dont see a problem with KW making a few quid by teaching digi scrapping, she gives away a LOT of free digi stuff on her blog already, why should she do everything for nothing?
I have happily bought her PSE actions, and have signed up for her digi lessons, yes, maybe I could find out similar info by trawling through the net, but I dont have time to do that, and welcome an opportunity to glean a little bit of knowledge from a lady who's work I love and who I believe to be a lovely person - I don't know her, but from what I see of her work, her blog etc, I like her.
So, try not to feel so upset about it, no one is liked by everybody. I hope that KW doesnt take the comments on ScrapSmack to heart, I'm pretty sure that for every non-fan, she's got about 100 people who think she's great.
