There's a thread somewhere here about the SU stuff starting to be sold in the UK- or have I dreamt it

Addicted To Stamps!!
I love my H20's but I tend to go through phases sometimes I use my water colours Derwent ones... I did have a cheaper set but couldn't get on with them!
I also have to say that a waterbrush is a must have for me!
I alo have Marvy le plume pens which I don't tend to use so often now and I have a few of the Letraset Markers which I love!
Hmmmm I like the sound of these SU ones though!!

I have just started to use the whispers stamp markers - waterbased ones with the blending pen, but I didn't get very good results. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

faye - have you tried scribbling on a old cd case and taking the colour from that?!

No Kezza,
I only bought the blender pen a couple of days ago and tried it straight onto card I'd stamped an image onto. I'll give that a go. Scribble onto a cd case and use the blender pen on top to pick the colour up?
Thanks hun

I bought whispers pens and didn't much like them either. On the whole I prefer not to colour in stamped images, and most of my stamps don't need to be coloured in. Sometimes I use a water brush to bleed the ink from the stamp into the design. Mostly I dab an ink pad over a piece of card to get an effect that I like and then stamp over it, or I'll use alcohol inks or some other stains and then stamp. For images that need to be coloured in I use watercolour pencils (WHSmiths) or brush pens and a water brush. I don't like H20s either, but then I have only tried one set and maybe I chose naff colours.

I HAVE to like these, they cost a lot of money. £15.

I've never got on with a blender pen with those pens but I tend to use a waterbrush with mine picking up the colour off something like a old cd case... give it a go!

I used to use Marvy le Plumes a lot, but to be honest I've not found that much of a difference between them and watercolour pencils . I tend to use my H2Os more for background washes as I've had difficulty using them to colour in images 'convincingly' IYKWIM. If I want a bit of sparkle I use the sakura gelly sparkles, scribbled on some plastic and picked up with a waterbrush. You get the delicate look of watercolour but with the a definite sparkle.

Well, I've just been to town and got WHSmith watercolour pencils (half price!) and some pearly Watercolours. Watercolours seem very nice so far- better than my old ones. I couldn't decide between WHSmith ones, Derwent and Caran D'ache, but the Smiths ones were so much cheaper I thought I'd try those first. I'll have a proper play later and let you know what they're like

Evil Mean Bunnies worst nightmare
I have just discovered a serious flaw with my art quest watercolours......much as I love them there are no reality colours in them if you know what I mean.....everything has a sparkly sheen. Just tried them on my new penny black christmas stamps and no they don't look right at all so I think I might be in the market for some of those watercolour pencils stig
