♥ Use your stash card challenge ~ Week 1 - Doodlebug ♥

With the monthly card challenge becoming so popular, we thought we'd introduce a nice new stress-free and fun weekly challenge to the card forum.

The aim is to just get using up those scraps of left-overs and {gasp} even cutting into those 12x12 sheets of paper that've been lying around for months waiting to be used!!

Each week we'll choose a new manufacturer to focus on - if you've got stuff by that manufacturer in your stash (paper, ribbon, embellishments, rub-ons whatever!), then you're officially being given permission to use it on a card! Oh yes indeed!

To kick start this challenge we have a fabulous one-off prize donated by Scrapagogo for one lucky participant! And a hint at just what this prize could be is this week's manufacturer:

Doodlebug

To have a chance at winning the prize, you'll need to post your card(s) in one of the weekly challenge threads by midnight on Thursday 23rd of August.

If there are any manufacturers in particular you'd like to have entered into the hat, drop me a PM!

Watch out on Fridays for news of the new manufacturer and have fun rooting through that stash!

I shall have to have a go tonight as I think I have a ton of Doodlebug buttons that could benefit from being used. hehe

Today I was brave and chopped into my Doodlebug Christmas papers..

Doh - how stupid am I lol! Just realised the card I posted doesn't have any Doodlebug in it!!! Doh!!! Shall have a go tonight to rectify my error lol!!!

PS - That'll teach me to read the challenge first too!!!!

Heres my attempt. Have to admit that the papers are from the freebie with SI. This challenge came at the right time as I needed to make a card for a friends little girl who is going to be 6 this month and I bought her some fairy books so this card materialized. The fairy wings are made from embossed velum using the new impress embossing stencil then cut them out. Sorry its a bit dull but taking the pic using the flash made it look washed out. TFL
