some of you may have been aware that I've been in the UK for the last 5 weeks supporting my daughter.
She has 2 adopted children, 7 and 5, both disabled, and a birth child 20 months old. She developed problems in the latter stages of her current pregnancy, hence me being here to help out.
Tonight, at 7.43, she produced a healthy baby boy, 7 pounds 5 ounces.
I feel honoured to have been there and helped her through the birth, it was a truly amazing experience.
Despite her choosing rush hour to go into labour, I remained very calm and got her to the hospital in one piece. After only 2 hours my new grandson arrived.
Here are a couple of pics for those who are interested.
Ericap the baby looks gorgeous, and your DD is an amazing woman to cope with so much. You must be so proud of her. Mind you Apples don't fall far from the tree so you must be pretty amazing yourself.
My kindest wishes go to all of you.
Congratulations Erica to you and your Daughter. I am so pleased everything turned out well and its lovely to see the photos. I bet he has some very proud brothers/sisters waiting for him to go home. Get plenty of cuddles in before its time for you to return home, Cath..x
