Registration Marks
Hi guys
I am having a problem printing registration marks with my printer. It's an HP1210 inkjet. It doesn;t print all the way to the bottom of the page and it misses the top of the top two marks.
I have tried changing the setting in the robo software but it doesn't allow me to move them away from the short edge of the page.
Can anyone shed any light onto it???

Tracie, you may have to go into your printer drivers and change the print margins in there.

Hi Tosca
Ive just gone into the robo document settings then printer preferences. I set it to A5. Page came up with a line down the middle which is the print line guide.
I turned on reg marks (they come up in the same place) hit print and the error message "registration marks are outside print area" again.
I'm just gonna go in the corner and cry now Boo Hoo

Hmmm, at the risk of confusing you, tracie (and myself, lol) is it the page set up you're altering.
To do the printer margins you actually need to into your printers software and in there are boxes/a box where you tell it the mm or cm to print into the edge. I think it's these that need altering, not your pagesize/setup.
It sounds like they need enlarging slightly to accommodate your reg marks.

I have checked the website and the printer margin at the bottom is 11.7mm. I cannot change it as the printer cannot print after this which is why the reg marks arn't printing The page set up in Robo is upside down compaired to the printer (if u know what I mean. Can I turn the page upside down in robo??
Am I babbling now haha Did that make any sense??

Try this in this order:
Open new page Portrait mode
Click on reg marks setting ( icon on top tool bar with 2 corner marks)
Click on 'fit to document' - your reg marks appear but are off the printed area in some parts
Click on your spanner icon ( out put settings)
Print settings
Tick 'rotate 180°' box
You should see that your reg marks are now lined up with the edges of your cut area and everything is inside the printed area.
Remember that you only need reg marks if you are doing a print and cut - other wise you can ignore them

Thank u Susibi. Worked like a dream. Now it prints the top two reg marks and then the bottom one and they all fit the page
Thank you very very much. Thought I was gonna have to get a new printer (Oh well maybe next year haha)
