I've done a few of the male ones by just stamping h a p p y b i r t h d a y with MM alpha stamps onto card, embossing in different colours, then cutting up each letter, inking them, and sticking them onto the card with 3d spongey-doo-dah things.
I think thats lovely Joanne.
I do think men are slightly more difficult.
The card I made was easy enough to make.
All it is was bazill mono green card as the main card.
A strip of basic grey vagabond & corners rounded,a basic grey tag,
BG Monogram, cut sizzix primitive Hearts, inked everthing & used bg stickers & organza ribbon.
I think that card would be easy to make.
I hate making wedding invitations, especially when there's loads. I just find it too repetative and boring. I have to start some soon for a wedding. The bride to be wants something unique and modern. (oh dear)
I had to do a pigeon card for a pigeon fancier, that was a hard one. I like girly stuff.
I'd love to have seen that, what did you do?
I make cardmaking templates, have to make 10 per month and I try to make them 50/50 male/female themes so I know how difficult it can be to think of mens cards! What you have to do is think of something really boring like maybe a garden shed or a TV remote, those always go down really well for mens cards, thinking about it though those would work for some lady's cards too!
I hate making wedding invitation cards the most because then you're making them for someone else they always want something boring like white/cream with a heart in silver/gold

I'm another one who finds making cards for men difficult. I make all my female friends birthday cards but more often than not buy funny ones for male friends! Although sticking a beer mug on the front of a card is probably enough for some of them!
