    Christmas Cards !!!!

OK, there's already been a thread about who has started ... but what new ideas have you come up with for this year.

Also ..... what new papers/techniques are you using ?

I've decided to only do maybe 3/4 different cards this year - last year, I made loads of different ones, but had to start making them around November. I'm currently playing with ideas, and have almost decided on the designs i'm going to use.

I'm really impressed with the new Christmas Blonde Moments papers - and I'm trying to get my mucky mawlers on either the new American Crafts and/or Christmas Junkits papers ...

Right, over to you lot ... come on, inspire me !!!

i bought the recent hotp kit off qvc so i think i will be using that to make most of this years... probably won't use the cards out of the the ideas book - just do my own thing with it... last year i ended up making 245 but this year probably won't make anywhere near that amount...

This is a Victorian-style Christmas card that I am using for inspiration this year... I am only going to watercolor paint a few of these cards for immediate family, tho

(I found this image on the web...it's not mine)

A lot of my customers seem to be into a coloured theme, or an angel, star, snowflake etc theme. Prob a good idea as then you would'nt have loads and loads of christmas stash and not know where to start.

I think i'm going to go for something retro and cool looking this year! Last year I went very white and silver. The year before that, there was a lot of purple and gold!

Reckon I might go for pink and turquoise with white and silver accents! Something with a simple base that I can adapt slightly to suit different people - adding personalised embellishments such as a handbag, glass of wine etc... That's about as far as I've got!!

They are lovely cards - I think that's my favourite colour scheme for the Blonde Moments papers.

I am using red/green as my theme, and I've bought a clip-punch which makes cute little star shapes, and I'm going to do some hand stitching with metallic thread. Oh, and I got some red & green glittery fimo so I might use that as well!

    Lovely cards Cal.
I only normally make cards for family & friends that scrapbook(as I know they will appreciate them.
At the moment I have my eye on the Christmas stamps that Banana Frog have just had in. They are like a retro bauble.Plus they do a lovely retro snowflake set which I have & will probably do some christmas cards with as well.

Sam, I love those stamps too, but I'm resisting temptation. The stamps that go with the blonde moments papers are delish as well, but I have promised myself to be good !!

Another one resisting temptation with the Banana Frog stamps! Still not decided on what i'm doing with this year's Xmas cards. I love the blonde moments paper but am thinking of just picking 2 or 3 basic Christmassy things and doing various cards round them
