Cutting a number 8
Hello - this is my first post on this site - I am so excited to have found it, as I have been scrapping for years. My problem of the day - I am trying to cut a number 8 on my Cricut machine to put around a photo of my granddaughter on an "18 months" page. There are ever so many fonts and I have trawled through so many, but, if you can imagine, I don't want the 8 joined in the middle - and all the fonts seem to have the 8s joined. The only other way I can think of is to cut 2 circles and cut out a section of each and join the sides together - but the join would show of course. Does anyone know of a font where the 8 is not joined through the middle, or can anyone think of a way I could do it? Thanks so much.

Hello and welcome!
What about "slicing" out a small rectangle from the 8?

Welcome to the site.
I’ll ask my friend who has a Cricut to come and see if she can help.
Until then you could post your question on the thread below as the people there may be able to help.

Hello Dazzykins and welcome to UKS.
I have a Cricut and pretty good at manipulating files with the slice and weld function but I’m struggling to understand what exactly it is you are trying to do. Do you want to put a photo in both parts of the number 8 or just one? It would help if you could sketch your idea and possibly send it to me. I’m on Messenger (easier for a quick picture upload). Jane Tink Hamilton. Once I see what it is you’re trying to do I’ll be able to help you.
Edit:
Is this what you have in mind?
