Tracey its a magnetic backed stamp by a company called rubbadubbado which are online but thier works is very local to me and they did have a shop but shop seems to be closed now unfortunately, I have another one of a shepherd which I am working on at the mo!
Sounds silly but what are "card maps"?
This is my take on the one with the brackets....
Thank you for the comments ladies
I am sure you will :-)
Love the kings and the rotation of the sketch but cant quite face thinking about Christmas yet
Jean Day - Not silly at all - I thought they were like cards with road maps on when I first read about them :-/ Now I dont know if this is a proper definition of a card map but they are effectively pictures which suggest where you can place things on your cards - the three little pictures attached to the first post are examples of them - some people call them 'maps' some people call them 'sketches'. I think they are a great way to get ideas on how to put differnt bits on a card - especially helpful when you are a relative novice like me or when you are in a hurry and inspiration is just not there!
Hope this helps and I have not confused!
Here are some I did based on the first sketch:
... and some based on the third sketch (I really like the second one but haven't got my head round it LOL!):
Wow, fab cards already.
I love the sketches, so i hope i get time to play!
Fantastic cards Eileen!! Love the embossing.
Lovely cards Eileen. I like the way you used the ribbon for the stalk on the first one - very pretty. :)
loads more great cards ladies, especially like the one with the roses in the b&w frame Eileen.
.......errrm, I have to own up, the frames come already embossed! It would be easy to do, it's just that I'm a sucker for anything with paisley on it, so I HAD to buy these! Actually they're quite versatile, especially for quick cards. They do other patterns too. But it is cheating, I know!
My attempt at map 2, lots of silver embossing going on here! Sorry about the poor quality scan I think my scanner bed needs cleaning!
That's cute!
At least your scanner works! More than mine does - it's convinced there is something stuck in the photo feed that I don't even use!
I love how differently we have all inturpreted the maps :-) Thank you all for sharing such lovely cards
