Ok I admit I got my friend to show me how to use a running stitch on my sewing machine. I ruined about 5 cards before I got it right.

Worth it though Elaine, it looks great! You'll be quilting next.
I need to learn how to use my machine again, haven’t used it for years I went to classes once and learned how to make curtains, that was probably 20+ years ago !!
I love the effect of stitching on cards and layouts. Maybe now is the time to give it a try while we have so much time at home :)
Its lovely Elaine :)
I used to sew all sorts, dresses, tops, skirts, curtains, cushions with frills and zips, duvet. Not sure how I knew to do the zips and frills but I was given some curtains someone had made and they weren't very neat, sorry but they weren't. Frayed edges etc... so I took a look at how it all worked and hey ho made my own. I just don't get the sewing machine out now and it is 41 years old this year. Last time I got it out it was working fine.:) Just think, I missed the poor things Ruby Anniversary last year.
If I do get it out again I'll make sure to sew some cards now.
I have a Spring card. It doesn’t fit the colours, but it has
an umbrella on it

Beautiful Elaine, I love that background paper, so pretty.
Ladies...I’m sure you have all seen the story about the veteran who has raised, thus far, over £12,000,000 for the NHS. It is his 100th birthday on the 30th of April and thought you may like to make a card for him?
That’s a lovely thought Elaine. He’s an inspiration to us all.
