Hi Ruth,
If you haven't had any responses and I can't actually help because I've never made one, what about Googling it. There will be lots of YouTube video's out there and seeing one being made may be better than being told how to make one IYKWIM. At least you can pause it and work along with it.
I found a great one on Splitcoast Stampers.. So easy to follow. I made my first one yesterday and it worked out fine

Found a good tutorial on youtube ,where Niki showed no measuring box card using A4. Can adapt to any size of card.
