A new Inkscape pictorial has been added to the tutorial section for cutting directly to CR.
I've also tested it and it cuts from .46 as well. Here is my set up in case that makes a difference
WinXP
RM - 5.1
Inkscape - .46 and .47
CR - CC100

I have tried it out and it is very very easy to follow, thank you so much Lucille, that was what I hated about inkscape to RM files, they cut so slow, but this way is lovely and smooth, just a pity they cannot be shared, unless converted to GSD.
Thank you for trying out, I've been cutting since last night with it, so far so good, just cut the card I'll leave the insert until tomorrow.
This looks great Lucille :thanks::thanks:. I will give it a go when I have some spare time.
Direct link http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/...d.php?t=268274 looks really easy! Might give it a try :)
Which version of inkscape:wacko:
Won't work for me:angry:
Won't work for me either with 46 or 47
You girls are not trying hard enough are you :lol:
I have just tried this Lucille and it has cut perfectly! and so fast. Well done for sharing this:thanks:
I have just tried the pen and that worked as well!
A couple of things that might help. What are you trying to cut, if it is unwelded text or dingbats perhaps you need to convert to path first, and if it is something really small like a letter from the alphabet is it inside the cut area.
I haven't had a play with that yet and tried to refine where the cut area is except it cuts where it is on the screen, unless I assume you are out of the cut area.
Doreen if it is doing a test cut you should be able to cut, so it might be your settings are not quite right or it doesn't recognise you design as vector.
Just tried a very simple shape, when I went into controller the blade housing jiggled as it usually does, went to try to cut and nothing I'm afraid. :(
If it helps anyone I'm using the .47 version #21612-0906172010 which you download here I think the date is June 17th.
I'm using June 20th so that could be the problem. I've got a thread going here
http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/...d.php?t=268204 which could also be the problem.
I phoned Brian and he thinks my antivirus might be blocking part of the installation. I'm uninstalling the antivirus and going to try again to solve it
I'm still using 0.46, so that could be why it wouldn't do it. I'll attempt to download 0.47, thanks for the link Lucille. :)
Still not working Lucille but I've got rid of the box that my pops up every time I turned the machine on and it's installed properly now HOORAH
I hate to tell you this girlies, but I just opened Inkscape .46 and it still works!! I'm using RM 5.1 does that make a difference perhaps?
I think Doreen uses 5.1 too Lucille.
So it must be something 'we're' doing wrong then Doreen.:lol:
I've added it to my first post, but I'll put it again here in case you didn't see it, could it be any of the following that I'm using and your not, if there is anything else you can think of that might affect how it works.
WinXP
RM 5.1
and it cuts from both .46 and .47
CR - CC100
I'm using
Vista (this could be the culprit)
RM 4.4
Inscape .46
Thanks for this Lucille, i have tried it with diffrent files and i won't cut robbie just juds like there are no cut line setting. Hope i can get her to cut this sounds great.

Downloaded and tried .47 and it still won't work. :(
Lucille could you please tell me how to add 5.1 to the printer list, I have both versions on my computer and the version in the inkscape printer box is 4.4 which might be my problem just can't get it to recognise 5.1. Added screenshot incase you dont understand what i mean. Thanks
Helenx
I'm doing the best I can here, the Internet is running like a dog again it's taken me ages to get on UKS, fingers crossed I can post this.
I don't know why, but maybe the type of CR you have does come into all of this I'm using the CR CC100, we will be able to tell if people who try this would be kind enough to post a line to say if it has or hasn't worked for them and what their set up is as well, pretty please :D
Helen - I would say you need to install the CR Controller for 5.1 you can get that from the French site, I can't post a link because I would have to find the one I posted a couple of days ago in a thread and if I do that I can't guarantee getting back to this point again for hours  so if you have problems I'm sure one of the others will be able to help you, sorry
What's the link for 5.1 please:ph34r:
Helma and Sue this is the link Lucille put up the other day
http://www.craft-robo.fr/telecharg/telecharg.html
Lucille i have already got 5.1 installed i just can't get it to show up in the printer box, but if i'm cutting from RM it is using5.1. Thanks anyway will try and mess around.

0.46
Well, I'm even more confused now. When I open the controller for both version 4.4 and 5.1 its says Controller version 5. So I don't think that's the problem as it seems to be using the same controller, but I could be wrong, lol.
Sorry you're having difficulties with your internet again Lucille, its a pain in the behind isn't it !!!
OK........here is what works and doesn't work for me and what I'm running:-
Win XP
CR330
I can get it to cut from 46 (build 1st April 08)
I cannot get it to cut from Delvel 46 (build 19th Jan 09 )
I cannot get it to cut from Devel 46 (build 19th June 09 )
I hope this information helps
Thanks everyone for your help to confusing for me have got bits from here there and every where all over this computer away to clean up a bit and will have a try later. Thanks again you are stars.
Helenxx
I have downloaded the latest Inkscape also from the French site - the controller/driver etc. As you will see from the attachment my 'pen' is now grey - it used to be blue:o and it still shows as Version 5!!!
