As Xmas is approaching fast I've put together this file, it's a slot together Xmas Tree for those last minute cards, boxes etc.
This is my version (not quite finished yet) which will go into JennieBean's Cot Box (thank you JB) along with some fake snow (White Flower Soft) and some glitter dust.
Hope some of you find it useful.

just finished the first tree ,not quite the same as in this piccy but lovely, camera not charged up so will add piccy soon.
i cut six snow flakes all in slightly smaller sizes, making sure each one had a small hole in the misddle.
i just used 100gsm copy paper for the one i have just done.
then i used stickles icilcle glitter glue on them, left them to dry.
once dry I curved over the edges of the flakes them carfully threaded them onto a coctail stick largest first., dsbbing a small dot of glue around the stick tohold it in place then put the next size down etc etc.
i have only put 4 flakes on the file so its would not be too big!
not sure where this flake came from as i just have it listed as sno flake, so if you recognise it as your work can you let me know and i will add it to the file , and thanks because it really is just the right sno flake for this !

Sorry I have not been able to upload anything of late had a serious problem with the computer, and then had to put CR away for Christmas etc
Anyone for a snowball fight?
Just finished this one cuts and fits together well.
I have made each different size a different colour.
It is a bit complicated to explain but here goes-
First take the larges circles and slot them together to form a sort of 3D cross.
Then take the second largest circles and slot these into the next set of cuts, and so on, right down to the smallest circles, warning it starts to get complicated the more circles you slot together.
You should end up with a complete 3D ball shape, which will fold flat if you want to put it into a card etc.
enjoy
I will try to get a photo later when DH gets home.
I know I know it's Christmas again, I can't help it whats come into my head can I:lol:

This little "box" stemmed from the September Challenge. I wanted to try something a little more difficult than my cube that I posted for that. So here it is, a 10 sided prism. I have decorated it with a little glitter glue. It doesn't show very well in the photo but looks pretty under artificial light. I have made this in white 160 gsm card but it would look good in silver or gold, or whatever your Christmas tree colour scheme is going to be. There is a silver version with a bow in the September Challenge thread.
Suggestion for make-up: I used a bead (placed inside the form) threaded on a silver cord for the loop. It is a good idea to put this in first and needs to be placed in the side with the single tab fastening, then stick this single tab (this will become the top). Stick the rest of the tabs leaving the triangle without tabs until last. This will enable you to pop in a chocolate or little present right at the end. Place a "blob" of glue at the apex of the prism to secure the cord (or stick the bead at the top at the beginning of the 'exercise') Unless you have fast drying glue this can be a challenge so not for the impatient:lol:.

Well this took approx 6 months to perfect But now its perfect in everyway.

sorry its done in 4.4 version
Just finished this one. The photo doesn't do it justice, looks much better in real life. I can see it being attacked with some glamour dust or being cut from some irridescent or sparkly card.
I've put some instructions on the template, but if they don't make sense, just shout.

I reconverted the gsd for this file. It comes out beautiful in Carolluk's
conversion tutorial.
I also redid the picture - I wasn't pleased with the first one - this one looks
a little more festive.
This does take two pieces of cardstock.
I found a light that rotates to three different colors. I know the kid's
at the Christmas shoppe will love this.
Since I don't have a mathmatical mind, I worked on the bottom until
my head hurt (many hours).
I wanted it to fold under so the pieces met at an angle into a perfect
octagon.
Anyone is free to play with it and change it!
Otherwise, I was able to fold it together with what I have done.
I used vellum inside the windows.

I cut mine from gold and silver mirriboard... need to cut 4... and used them alternately(spelling). I know some mirriboard is a pain to cut but this was white on the inside so was probably thinner.
I've uploaded a screenshot as my camera needs new batteries
Saw something similar made in metal so designed my own for the CR :P:P
You could add small gifts and hang on the tree OR if you made enough pop in a small choc, add a tag to the top of each and use as an advent the kids will love the hunt round the tree to find each one.
Sorry Lucille they are not big enough for your Ferrero Rocher. :(
Saw something similar made in metal so designed my own for the CR :P:P
I thought they would make great decorations for the tree
OR on the table as place settings add a tag with names on
You could add small gifts or chocs.
Lucille- these ARE big enough for your Ferrero Rocher. :D:D
done in 4.4 version

i had to make a christmas lantern for my grandchildren and it turned out ok so i thought someone else might be able to use it i put a small battery light inside.

i have tried to convert it to gsd but no luck (been here before) but if anyone wants to have a go i am sure all those who only use gsd would appreciate it

thought I'd throw in my effort.
Thank you for this challenge Erika, it gave me plenty to think about whilst lying on my sunbed on holiday! There are some great design already, thank you everyone for sharing.
When I was little I used to make these baubles from old greetings cards or shiny foil paper. Here are 2 templates a smaller plain one which could be decorated in many ways - or embossed (cuttlebug snowflakes would look great) and a larger lattice one, not sure this would cut too well any smaller.
To make - you need to cut, score and fold 20 circles. Then stick the 'fins' of 5 circles together (all points meeting) for the top and the same for the bottom. Form the remaining 10 circles into a ring, sticking the 'fins' and use this to join the top and the bottom. This sounds so complicated but it is really very easy.
Sue
Another bauble, assembly the same as previous post. You can cut 9 circles from the first pass of an A4 sheet and then 2 more circles can be cut if the colours of the other 7 are unticked and the carrier sheet inserted from the other end. IYSWIM. 20 circles need to be cut in total
Sue
Well as the title says candles are nto just for christmas - this candle has been designed so it fits over LCD tealight (you won't be able to read by it though :))
and just by accident (not) the candle body fits into your cuttlbug folders to enable you to give the candle sone texture - well would you expect anything less!!!
oh yes and it has a box
here :thanks: for looking xxx

Another offering for Christmas, The 3D Poinsettia Basket & Box! I have designed in inkscape as I always do and exported for the quicker cut, retraced in robo master and cut on craft robo. I have cut this from golden haze conqueror concept card for the box top and bottoms and the basket. I have used K & Company Red paper which is just beautiful for the poinsettias, and acetate for the main box so you can see into the project.
I am so pleased with this and how it's turned out.. I have worked really hard to make sure it looks so real.. The poinsettias are beautiful and they sit just right in the basket I have designed for them.
How lovely getting this for your Christmas card instead of the normal ones offered for sale in the shops. It could even be your Christmas Table decoration..
