I LOVE your card and I'm dying to know what the stamp is and what embossing powder you've used but I can't seem to get the page on your blog to load for me - any other one is fine but it just seems to be this one (maybe its just me!!).
thanks

I have just finished creating 50 of these! They were very much inspired by MargieS (see above) who has kindly allowed me to 'cardlift' if you can call it that - thanks Margie.
What a nightmare the heat embossing was! I could not get the stamp to give a clear image so had to colour parts in with a versamark pen, very fiddly. x x
Oooh very nice - I like the pearl accent. :)
These are lovely, bet you're glad you've done them now.

wow they are lovely!!! Esp love the little pearl - finishes them off lovely!!
Ashamed to say Ive only made about 15 of the 60 or so I need - still at least i have another year to get them done :)
they're beautiful - well done.
I remember when I made some for a friend I had to heat emboss the image - never again! My heat gun kept cutting out to cool down and like you I had to use a versamark pen too. I made 150 and was sooooooooooooooooo glad to see the back of them. I think I even threw the stamp away afterwards so I couldn't be reminded of it!
Your guests will be lucky to receive these

Lurvely invites  i'm about to start on my wedding invites, not yet decided on a design - hoping to throw a few samples together to see what i like (or even make a few of each design). Will post a piccy when i've done something towards them lol

Anyone help me with a card blank sourcing question? A firend is getting married and making her own invites. She's seen a card idea she's quite taken by, but it's cut from A3 rather than A4 cs.
I'll try and describe it! It's a square format when closed, but opens up into three, with the bottom section forming a wallet-style enclosure (so you can pop in address details, directions, gift list info etc).
Any ideas?
They are usually called pocket or wallet card blanks.. you can get then online or in the big blue craft store.. they are lovely but I haven't decided if it would be easier to buy the banks or make them HTH
for my niece's wedding i also did her invites
love your invites got to start my brothers soon
Hi
Does anyone have an invitation or wedding embossing stencil they would like to sell on? My daughter and I are designing her wedding invitations which she would like to be simple and classic.
Sylvia
I made some wedding stationery for a friends wedding coming up in October :)

Thank you so much for this, they are beautiful. I will show my daughter tomorrow, she is very keen to have something classic like these. I would love to have details of whether you cut the cards yourself or bought blanks and also whether you hand wrote the names, dates, etc if you are willing to share the information.
Thank you again
Sylvia :thanks:
wow these are all beautiful and so elegant.
I have just finished doing my daughters stationary for her wedding and she had the embossed cake glasses etc to:lol:
DD got married two years ago and my friend helped me to hand emboss her invitations. There were 50 large dl with the words wedding invitation and calla lillys embossed on pale gold pearlescent card and then we included a printed parchment insert. Then we made another 60 single page evening invites, with the details printed on the reverse and then they were embossed with the words evening invitation and the same calla lillies. And finally we made 100 rectangular favour boxes with the name of the bride and groom embossed on two sides and the calla lillies on the other two (we filled these with chocolates my youngest daughter and neice hand made the week of the wedding). It took about 3 months to complete them all but it was well worth it. Then just to complete it I made 50 pillow boxes and filled them with hand made confetti made using paddle punches and these we placed on the seats at the wedding for the guests.
I thoroughly enjoyed doing them, knowing everything was truly individual and as my daughter wanted. And they cost a fraction of having them done professionally.
There all absolutely amazing ladies.
Well done my daughter is getting married in March.
She lives in oz so we have to work from a distance,
on the wedding plans I'm tinkering around with card making
