Goodness it has been a while!

Well hello everyone! It has certainly been a while but I think it is time I came back! I have now closed my sewing business and retired so now have much more time for myself plus I have gained a couple more grandchildren since I was last here.......oh and (whispers)....a couple of great grandchildren as well!)....so the scrapping opportunities are immense! :D

I have just been sorting out one of our spare bedrooms in preparation for moving and realised I had about 20 years of scrapbooks stash in the cupboards......and that is a whole lot of stuff. I thought it would be a couple of hours of a job however it may turn into a couple of weeks work instead! :rolleyes:

I have just spent about 2 hours just stroking stuff saying 'ohhhhh' and remembering where it all came from. And up to now I have put nothing on the rubbish pile!

Found loads of stuff from the 'Scrapaganza' years. Anyone remember the amazing times we had there? And the brilliant classes?

I've also found 5 Christmas albums I did with Shimelle. Definitely doing one of those again this year!

Found about 15 cj's which I took part in.......might need to look into joining another in a couple of months when I am sorted.

Now I need to get myself up to date with everything and see what is new out there! I bet there are plenty of new companies around now.......which obviously I will not be buying from as I have more than enough to be going on with! :rolleyes::lol: Now then where is the link to the sponsors........

I remember scrapaganza, they were the Alicia retreats weren’t they ? I went to a couple of them, They were big events

The Scrapaganza ones I mean were organised by Heidi Hasz Heideveld in Holland...did you go to any of those?

I am itching to get started with something but no inspiration yet ......and no space. :D

Hi Elaine, yes, I have so much lovely paper, card and embellishments which are now finally sorted.

Are 7Gypsies still about? I must look. I have loads of their goodies.

Just need some inspiration to get me going and then I will end up rooting in the boxes I have just packed! hahaha!

Oh no, I didn’t go to any in Holland!
I don’t think 7 gypsies are still with us, some companies have gone but new ones have appeared fortunately so there’s still plenty of temptation out there :lol:

Welcome back! You sound like you are raring to go. I also had some time away from scrapping, and I noticed it's definitely quieter here than it used to be: but quality wins over quantity, I say, LOL.

Have a look around the site - there are still sponsors, and there are lots of challenges to inspire you. You may notice the boards have been re-organised. If you need any help, just holler, and someone will point you in the right direction.

Does anyone still do scrapbooking retreats, I would love to do one, when life gets back to normal?

Must be the season for it... my first time back here for many many years. Life has changed so much. Well I have a new home office and have started sorting through an embarrassing amount of stash that was boxed up years ago so it seems rude not to dip my toe backing the scrapbooking world. Hello Julie!! Im back now too!! Scrapaganzas in Holland were fantastic..Im sure we shared an airport dash, getting through huge queues in departure!
the teaching and class packs at scrapaganza were amazing, amd it was fun to meet [eople from all over Europe!

Goodness me and here we are a few months later and my scrapping time was cut short as I had to pack up to move again! I am finally getting my stuff out of storage in a couple of weeks so MaryAnne has sorted my password out (yet again! ) Where would we be without you, MaryAnne.

It was fun to read through this thread and meet old, and new, friends again! Wow Scrapaganza! Did we have fun there! So many great projects as well.

I was reading through the 'inspirations & challenges' forum as well and the cyber crops we used to do were fantastic! Such brilliant challenges!

Such a shame things have to change but our lives move on and new things take up our time. I'd like to get back into cjs again...are they still a 'thing'. In fact I will get into anythingwhich kicks my mojo into gear. And I WILL do Shimelle's Christmas Album again!

So now I am looking through to see what is new on the scrapbooking scene! And goodness me I found out that Basic Grey have finished their paper side now! They were my favourite 'go to' papers, I'm ok for a while though as I have a good stash of them yet. :lol:

I'm now going to browse the gallery and see what everyone has been up to.
