pennies have been counted & have emailed a shop that will keep a cricut to one side for me till monday-best price /deal that i could find..now i need to know..
what else do i 'NEED'?Do I really need the tool kit?
also ...now that ive decided to go ahead and buy one ...i could do with knowing a few hints/tips etc...will it cut mount board?
thanks
Thanks for your comments girls :D
Tracy that tote looks lush - I need one now
Hi Ali and welcome to the club:lol: I have had mine since November and have managed without the toolkit so I would say no you don't "need" it,save your money towards another cart:) I don't think it will cut mountboard, Bazzill is about the heaviest it is recommended to cut, wouldn't want to risk my warranty by trying anything heavier:wacko: I'm sure you're gonna love it:)Quote:

I've had no problems cutting Bazzill, as long as the pressure is on max and the blade depth is 5. If anything it's the thinner papers that tend to drag, you just need to remember to alter your settings accordingly
no it won't cut mountboard, but you get a very sharp, clean cut in bazzil etc.
I don't have a toolkit either, I use and old credit card to scrap off bits and bobs, otherwise I manage with a pokey tool and a craft knife just to lift a corner from time to time.
as Sues said, it takes a time to work out the right settings for different papers/card and I must admit I tend to cut a small circle first before embarking on more cuts, to check I have got it right - I wasted quite a bit initially by cutting great long words, then realising it hadn't cut right through!
you will love it
Wondered where you'd all gone till I realised a new thread had started;)
Just to say that I have a spare cartridge if anyone's interested!? It's 'Opposites Attract', still in the box and used only once so it's in perfect condition. Please pm me for the price etc :)
