Pete, I have just installed Drawplus 8, and a patch to 8.1.1 but then I installed the resource CD and tried to find a shamrock shape, but everytime I click on any file it says Graphic filter not found - any ideas?
I am using Vista 64 bit.

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can throw any light on this, please. I emptied out all the addresses I had visited in Internet Explorer as it was getting rather full. They all disappeared but now IE won't save any at all. Is there something I can tick to save them once again.
well I don't know, I have to ask my fiance, he may knows how to help you..
do you mean the favourite bookmarks or the history?
Sorry Marion, I meant History. I seem to remember reading a long time ago that if you emptied out URL's it remained empty - it does!!
Myra
You can't replace the history unless you visit the sites again. However you can add the ones you visit often to favourites. You should clear the history as often as possible as it helps the computer run smoother :)
yes, the history is now...history....so sorry!
Hi Secret Scrapper,
I have visited the sites again but no sign of them in the address bar. I have my most-visited in favourites but would have liked to save the URL's again.
Thanks anyway,
Myra
Hi Marion,
I was afraid of that, lol. Daft isn't it really!
Myra
Just the address bar when I click on the downward pointing arrow. I have rebooted several times over the past few days after I did the emptying out. The addresses haven't reappeared though.
Myra
That is very odd. My browser saves all sites that I type into the adress bar, but not links that I click on unless they are in my favourites. I don't know what to suggest . Sorry I could't help
Kez :)
Hi Secret Scrapper,
Thanks for trying, I will just have to trust my memory for the site addresses.:thanks:
Myra
Hi,
When you emptied out your old saved addresses you may have ticked a box that said to clear them on exit. You need to check in your options and see if that is the problem, if you untick the box it will start saving again.
In Firefox under options and privacy there are two boxes at the bottom. One says clear my private data on exit, the other says ask me first (so you will always be asked if you want to clear private data) there is a settings button and if you click that you will see the list of things that it clears, you can untick boxes or tick boxes here. I think browsing history is the one that would clear the addresses you want to keep.
However bookmarking your favourite sites is the best thing to do.

Hi,
I've now got the addresses to save again by making a larger amount of days available to store history. I set it at 50 days and when I checked just now, even though I had closed the PC down, there were the addresses I had visited.
Thanks to all who helped me.
Myra
