Great card - perfect for a six year old lad.
Brilliant - well done!
[QUOTE=Cazcardiff;6022981]I hope this is the correct place to post..
I know some of you fab ladies asked to see what I'd created on my new CR.
This was the first thing I did. Its an A5 Birthday card for my Son.
I used a Dinosaur font for the outline, then welded words for the Happy birthday. I did it all in Inkscape and have to admit my husband showed me a VERY quick and easy way to weld letters and words in Inskape which I dont think any tutorial covers, so I'll try to write a tutorial on how to do it over the next week.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, see if you can get your husband to work on the Print and Cut in Inkscape.:comp::lol::comp::lol:
Well done - it's a great card
Thanks Rosemary, I did see that sticky, but as you say, I got the impression it was for showing off what has been sone using templates obtained from here.
Next time :)
Thanks Everyone. Its his Birthday Tomorrow (Sunday) and I know he'll love it as he is Dinosaur King mad. I also made a Batman logo too, but havnt cut that yet. He's Batman mad too lol.
If your son's still dinosaur mad next year, look at the Robert Sabuda Popup Dinosaur book on Amazon. Robert's the "King of Popups" for me - he has a website with freebies too - and the book is really very clever. It might even tempt you in this direction!:lol:
Rosemary
Oh! really hope I've done this right. It's my first time.
I've made two cards with templates from the template section.
One is the Harlequin butterfly posted by Emma ( Glitterola)
And the second one is a Parasol card posted by Chrissie ( Rugersmum)
Thank you so much Ladies. They are both wonderful templates to work with.
Anna
They're stunning cards. :)
Fabulous cards Anna.
I've uploaded a new batch of ATCs to my gallery; they're for two different swaps on another forum. I've enjoyed doing something a bit more creative for a change, as the last batch of cards I've made were all "pot boiler" type ones from a kit.
Rosemary
Just added a couple of cards to my gallery - I'll post the template for the butterfly stencil shortly. The easel card is a bit more tricky to convert as there are quite a few different elements to it, but I will have a go if anyone would like it.
Cool creations! Very inspiring.
Thanks for looking at my LOs. Now I just wish that I could "tag" my photos. Then people would know much easier when I've used their files! :D

I have just uploaded my very first card done with print and cut in the CR and also my first embossed topper with my Bigshot.
I have restuck the top because it was lifting where the ribbon was, but you learn as you go along.
I am very pleased with the Big shot and have got quite a few of the texture plates, I was worried that they wouldn't emboss deep enough, but they do give a good result and I like them because they are larger. I prefer to make
A5 cards, so this helps.
