Nice swirls, well done. It is so easy to do isn't it and fun because at the moment we don't quite know what results we will get, so every time you do something you think WOW.
Today, I have a short video showing how to weld some of the swirls in Inkscape so you can then save as .dxf for RM. I also show how to export as a .eps to import into DM or KNK Studio (which will work the same in both programs). These at today's post at my blog below.
I found this tutorial to go with Spiro as well some of you might find it interesting, the pictures are a bit small but if you click on them they will enlarge for a closer look
Had a thought and tried it out here are the results.
This is from someone (me) who can't draw for toffee and I did it using the new spiro tool, it might not be perfect but I'm quite excited about it and it proves it isn't just for swirls.
I have to say Lucille you've managed to convince me to give Inkscape another go and I'm right chuffed with it. I'm too busy 'swirling' to actually create anything though.
Thanks very much
Janet
Love the Heart you made, Lucille. Great idea!
OMG i have overlooked this software as i was happy to stick with what i know, one look at that video and i had to download this is fantastic so many designs to do my head hurts just thinking of ideas
Thank you Lucille for posting this - I had to go and have a play - Love it!!! Thank you also for the instructions and to Sandy for finding the time for doing the video - you are brilliant ladies!!!
I always learn so much from following these discussions, whether I choose to use the download or not in the end. So thanks very much to you Lucille for sharing your discovery and to all the other ladies here who have shared their experience so far. Yet another great excuse to defer the housework and spend time on the computer....

Good for you join the club  I'm still flushed with my success at drawing a heart, I must have drawn dozens today, with the pencil, the bezier tool, straight lines, converting nodes. It must be that saying about small things small minds :lol:
Thank you very much Lucille and Sandy.
Followed the videos which made it so easy.

I've also downloaded it thanks to Lucille for finding it and Sandy for the videos
Lucille, will you please not keep finding new things for us all to try? I have just downloaded Inkscape to have a play with this and it is BRILLIANT!!! I love it to bits, I have wanted to be able to do swirls easily and this is so easy it's not true. I can see everything becoming covered in swirls now. I have now got to get to grips with all the other things in the program, because at the minute I use DM but these swirls are sooooo addictive!!! There will be no tea in our house tonight I am sure :thanks::thanks::thanks:
Well here's a shock, the new DXF save format is also in this version :o so I had to give it a go this morning when I found out, it is posted as a separate thread and I have attached a file to save time, so if you are used to the old DXF format, you have to try this one.
I'm not saying anything I don't want to influence people.
