I thought that I had posted that my kit had arrived but looking back it seems that I didn't!
Love, love, love the kit ^_^ I haven't scrapped with it yet but as I'm having a whole new craft room done for me I'm finding it difficult to scrap much at the moment - I think I'll need to book a week or two off work just to catch up!!
Ooh yes, I loved the crop bag too and have lovingly stashed it away safely! ^_^
I have used the Saltwater Smiles kit for this months challenge

I love the kit and the bags, they look great hanging in my craft room.
Ooh so I've used a kit for a bit over a month now and it's amazing, I'm scrapping a lot more and it's easier to think of ideas. Can't wait for next month (and I love the bag!) I have posted layouts on my insta @checkwonderland
ETA Can't give any more away now as all kit boxes are out but the 9x12 page protectors will be in the September/October extras shop.
New Quirky Kits are coming to a scrap space near you now! :D
Love the kits this month. The card with the sketches is great as well. Thank you for the page protector :)
Enjoy Sonja!
I've just put some of the 9x12 page protectors in my album and have a page planned out so I will report back on the QK blog when I've finished.
Those Simple Sketches cards turned out great, I was a bit weary when I sent the instructions off to the printers but they came back just like I wanted. The only thing that bugged me is that they didn't print the xoxo tape out in gold it came out red :(
If anyone uses the sketches for layouts let me know or put a piccy on Facebook or Instagram, it'll be lovely to see :)
Mine arrived today, thank you. Ihave a child free day tomorrow so intending on making a dent in the pile of kits I have!
P.s. Sketches are main kit only aren't they?
My kit arrived yesterday, Lovely as usual, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get a page protector as I wanted to see if it fit an album I was making but a good excuse to buy some and make another Album LOL. Leo are the sketches going to be printed like that every month, they are lovely, and would look nice kept in an Album. {I seem to have a thing about Albums at the moment. LOL.
Got my Lite kit on Tuesday - it is as wonderful as usual. I love the vellum die cut pieces, it's nice to have things that are a little bit exclusive,

I'll put the page protector measurements info in the extras shop when they go on sale so you'll be able to see if they fit. The album I made is 10"x12.5" and they only just fit in so I'd say about a 11"x12.5" album size would suit them best. They also fit inside my American Crafts 3 ring binder albums, the 12x12 obviously and then the 8.5x11 but the latter is a snug fit. In fact I just got an 8.5x11 American Crafts album out to measure it and it's 11" from where the rings are to the edge and 12" top to bottom so yes if the top of the album had an extra 1/2 inch it would a be perfect size.
Yes Steph to answer your question, the Simple Sketches is for main kit subscribers. If/when I have some left over, (I have to do a minimum order of them with the printers so it'll depend on how close that gets to how many I need as to how many are left over) I do sometimes put them in other kit boxes just so as not to waste them. They are all on the Quirky Kits Blog to download too for everybody though.
And yes they are going to be in that format from now on so you can keep them with your kit bits/collect them.
Enjoy Louise! I love the cuts outs in the heavy vellums because they sit right with the papers without taking away. When I tried them in cardstock it just didn't work they looked too clumsy, when you look at the Happy Things papers they do have lots of layered images on them that are translucent looking so you can use the vellum embellishments in the same way. The girl reading one was my favourite, both the large cut outs are sized to fit in a 3x4 pocket page protector too and also on the 'Dream Big' paper, they sit right alongside the text at the bottom of the paper.
I hadn't realised the sketches were on the blog - I shall search them out. And thank you for the info on the vellum die-cuts, I may well use them like that.

I've never seen the sketches on the blog.either! But then I generally access from my phone

I've just made a Lo on my instagram, @skalovingeek, using the 9x12 and a mix of kits
Can't wait for sneaks and extras shop!
Yep it's creeping up fast!
I've started to build up the extras shop just got to finish it off ready for opening on the 20th.
I added a bit to the extras shop about the Nov/Dec kits too, something slightly different this year with the main kits. Main kit subscribers will have the choice of getting a Christmas themed kit as their subscription kit and the extras shop page will change on the 1st October to enable subscribers to make their choice, (you'll have a few weeks to decide not just one day). I will be sending the info out in kit messages too but not everyone reads them so I've put it in the extras shop too. I can't extend it to Lite kit and Embellishment kit because it's just too much to take on to do six different kits but there will be Christmas extras in the Nov/Dec extras shop so everyone can add Christmas extras to their kit boxes.
Thanks for the sizes Leo, I can't get to my album until Saturday but I think they will fit, I like the idea of the Nov/Dec kit being a Christmas one, as I am supposed to be stash busting this year {already sorted Christmas stuff out} but it is nice to have some new bits LOL.
Will there be the option of upgrading a lite to main kit for Christmas?
Yes, any time you can do that you just need to let me know and I can cancel your current subscription then you'd need to sign up for the main kit using the subscription button on the website. If you wanted to do that before the Nov/Dec kits you'll need to let me know by mid October because the Nov/Dec kits on subscriptions starting from Nov 1st will be the default ones, it's only current subscribers that will have a choice of kits. This is just because there's no way I'd be able to predict numbers of who wants what and I need to know at least a month in advance so we can get shipments co-ordinated. I will get some extra Christmas kits to order separately to subscriptions too so there will be the option to add a Christmas main kit to any subscription while the stocks last.
I'll put a note in all the next kit boxes with the info about what's happening with Nov/Dec kits as well as sending it out in kit messages so everyone will have plenty of time to plan what you want to do. :)
Anyone waiting for restocks in the extras shop - there's more on the way, (should be arriving Monday) so I'll send a message around when they come in and I've checked them over. There's more of the But First Coffee stickers and the Dear Lizzy acetate sheets for definite.
I am getting excited already about the next kit, Leo I didn't get an email about the extra shop but I did remember to go for a look. Will there be any of the white card packs as I am running short.
Leo would you be able to hold sending my kit till 23 October,we are away and also I will be spending a few days getting treatment in hospital, thank you
Susannah cuckow
Chris - none of the smooth white cardstock left I'm afraid I've got some on hand but I've put it by for kit packing because I need to make sure there's some surplus in case the sheets have marks or faults. I do have lots of white Bazzill so I'll put some 10 packs of that in the extras shop for a good price.
Susannah - I'm emailing you now
I have added some, Thanks.
Not long now! The Memorandum stickers for the mains didn't get sent out so we're just waiting for that to get sorted out. Got my fingers crossed for Thursday posting day, which should happen if all goes to plan as soon as I can get it confirmed I'll send out the details. :)
Collected my lite kit yesterday from the PO. I absolutely love it - thank you so much. The die cut tree and heart are fab and the acetate sheet is too lovely for words. Can't wait to get using it

Not much more time left now to let me know your main kit choice for Nov/Dec so anyone reading this who's not done it yet pop it in your planner to do this week. :)
I've got the first wave of new kit goodies coming in soon so I'm hoping to do a peek photo of both the kits early next week. It'll depend on the new Fancy Pants coming in on time as it's a new release so we're just waiting on that being dropped. So long as my number match up we can do some swapping around if anyone wants to change the choice right up to kit posting day and I have got a few more Christmas kits slated to go in the extras shop so they'll be the option to get both kits too for anyone who is really umming and arring choosing :)
Thank you Louise, enjoy! I'm going to grab the lite kit today to have a play. I love autumn food and I'm doing all my autumn recipes in my binder with it so I'll share them on the blog when I'm done. :) It's absolutely pitch black here today, full on fog so I'm hoping it'll shift and get brighter for some photos. I want to do some more stuff on Instagram too like a #myquirkyfave and then everyone share their favourite bit of the kit and then afterwards how they've used it. I'll try and start that today. My planner is just chocker full this week with all this stuff I want to do and then all the stuff I've got to do in-between! :)
What about a one off planner kit like the project life one? Planners are gaining popularity now so I imagine there would be interest.
Yeah I've done a couple things on the blog with planner embellishing using stuff from kits and have been doing my own planner stuff for a long while. There are lots of planner type organisers coming onto the market this time of year, (ready to start 2016) and I was actually just yesterday debating on looking at stocking some for the Nov/Dec extras shop because some of them would make really lovely Christmas gifts I think. I actually really, really love one that Kaisercraft have and was thinking of using it myself for next year. It's like a cross between a planner, notebook and scrapbook album with pocket pages, notebook pages and calendar pages. I think I may end up trying to get hold of a few of those along with a few things to accessorise it.
If anyone reading this wants to chime in with other ideas for what they want to see in the next extras shop then please do now because this is the week when I'm making my last minute changes and sorting out. If it doesn't happen now it won't for this year.
 Isn't that weird, it's really doing my head in how quickly this year has gone! gah
Ooo that sounds interesting
Update on planners
Planner kits are ordered and hopefully will be available for the extras shop, (or sooner).
I went with the Simple Stories planners in the end, A5 so good for embellishing and leaving room for actual planning notes and the occasional 6x8ish size scrapbook page if you want to mix in scrapping and it's a nice balance of cute but grown up too I thought with the elegant plain cover then the fun splash of polka dots in the lining inside. Plus Simple Stories are reliable for things like suppling refills and extra pages as the year goes on. It'll be in kit form so you get the planner, plus a mix up of accessories, (stickers, bookmark, dashboards, jotter, clips etc.) and I'll add a little fun Quirky Kit twist ;)
ooh sounds lovely! when will the extras shop be up (roughly)?
Sounds interesting leo. I use a personal planner.so hopefully can use stuff there and scrap with it too
Jayne - The extras shop is open on the 20th November, I always try to keep to the 20th of the month the new kits are out. As usual I'll send round a message when it's open and ready for ordering.
Yep Steph I do like the idea of mixing in scrapping with planner bits and A5 size does lend itself to mixing with 6x8 well, although I haven't yet found page protectors with the 6 rings it's easy to make your own holes and use like washi tape or strips of paper down the sides to cover the original holes. I have also got some ring protector stickers for the planner kits so that's another way to make your own customised pages to pop in or add things like ephemera or something directly.
Anyone thinking too like "oh it's not really for me a paper planner I can make an appointment calendar on my phone" I have found with my planner and thinking like a scrapper, it's a good place for noting little details down that I may forget later on in the year about certain times and events so when/if I go on to make scrapbook pages I can look up that date and those notes I made on that particular day and it puts your head right back in that space. The actual act of writing down, (and in my case making silly doodles!) puts something tangible in your hands and your memory to get you going with a scrapbook page. I think for anyone doing Project Life retrospectively, (especially if you have a total sieve brain like me!) that would be tremendously helpful.
As I say I may put the planner kits online earlier than the extras shop it will depend on when they get here, as soon as they do I will finalise the photos and get them up on the website. I ordered all the colours apart from Black. If you want to see them before the kits come in there's quite a bit already on the Simple Stories Pinterest page, https://www.pinterest.com/simplestories/carpe-diem/
Be weary of some of those videos, low speaker volume a necessity for some of them
